I didn't expect the finest quality for the price, but I expected quality representative of the price and for the item to actually be as described. The wood was cheap, poorly cut, and sanded improperly. The 'leather' is what is often called PU leather by companies trying to catch you off guard: polyurethane leather, AKA vinyl. A single stray ember will melt a hole right through it. Lastly, glue was globbed all around the bellows, just making it look cheap. The overall built quality is a joke. This would barely be appropriate at half the price but is ridiculous for the price it's being sold at.

These are *so* much better than the laminated cardboard/particle board and plastic tiny ones I saw in a local store. But - I would not qualify these as "fine craftsmanship;" you can see a little bit of glue on the base of the brass nozzle and the stain and finishing job is merely adequate, not furniture grade. However, it is real wood, the leather (and I do think it's real leather) is nice and supple. It works well, has a nice weight to it and is a nice size. We didn't have a cold winter where it got a lot of use, but it does feel sturdy.

I bought these Bellows as a gift for my husband and he loves them! We have a fireplace and a pizza oven and these bellows work great for starting and keeping a fire going! They are made well and look very nice! They come with a leather string for hanging (and an extra string too). These Bellows are made of fine grain wood; there isn't any veneer like many other bellows out there. I love the real leather and they are super easy to use and work great. We have it hanging by our fireplace and we received a lot of compliments over the holidays! I would highly recommend these bellows for their ease of use, unique look and durability!

We love these bellows. In North Dakota we spend a lot of time by our fireplace and find these bellows strong, effective with keeping fires going, and easy to use. They are well made and attractive for hanging up by the fireplace.
