I told my wife this wouldn't work on a convection top stove. Well I was wrong. It works great. I'm giving it 4 stars because it is about an inch to long sideways. But it stays flat, protects the glass top, cleans up easy & work's great!

Put it on the stove top, tried to cook. It started smoking, it burned (not sure how else to describe it) horrible smell. Had to stop cooking. Worst experience ever. Threw it away as I wasn't going to return it with white scorch marks burned onto one side. Not happy.

It’s so crazy that this works. I feel a little bit like someone who buys a new couch and uses a couch cover to protect it, but I really want to keep my new cooktop nice. The mat works great, and is easy to clean. I had to cut out a rectangle to access my cooktop’s controller.

This is a nice product if you don't want to have to clean your glass stovetop all the time. I was always laboring over getting the overspills cleaned off because I have seen others have the same type of cooktop that looked horrible and dirty because they didn't take the time to clean. The only negative thing is (and I think it says up to 450 degrees) but if you get the burner too hot it destroys the protector mat. Since its easy to cut, I cut a circles out for each burner using a dinner plate and salad plate as templates. This was I can still use it and still not have too many overspills. I tried to order a more expensive one (in the hundred dollar range) that was pre-cut for my stove but they didn't make one for my GE oven. This is the next best thing!

I used to use a much smaller one that covered part of the largest burner on my stove. It's the only one I use cast iron cookware on. Decided to look for something that was larger and came across this one. It's larger than the top of my stove, but easily trimmed to size. It hasn't burned, smoked or anything else. Just kept my stove in beautiful condition. I only have one complaint; it gets cloudy looking from the grease and it's difficult to get it all off. I tried several cleaners using spot testing to find something that would work and found that Windex seems to work the best. I use a microfiber towel to wipe it off with, otherwise you'll get lint on it. The first time I cleaned it after it got cloudy, I used a toothbrush to really scrub it with and had to apply the Windex multiple times to finally get it back to black. Now I just clean it with Windex every time I use it and it's always pretty and shiny. I had to use the black circles it came with to mark the location of the burners, but they stuck really well and look fine.

Since it was folded in an envelope, it has creased which I cannot get to level out. Very visible when put on top of range. However, it works well on our Frigidaire Induction Range. Just a little hard to clean because it cannot be wiped off without leaving lots of fuzz from your cloth. Guess it's ok for the price, but wish it had been rolled up without creases before shipping.

It covers the whole induction cooktop surface and does not slide around. Pots and pans stay put, they heat up properly, and spills, such as from boiling over pasta, clean up easily. The black color is a true, shiny black and looks just like the cooktop underneath. I've had it for about a week and I think it's great. Would buy again. NOTE: this is for induction stoves only.
