Works like new again after replacing parts from the kit. Not as expensive as buying the whole new stem.

This kit fit my 30 year old Pfister diverter valve perfect. It comes with everything including the inner seat. You can find YouTube videos showing how to do the rebuild, including the packing. A tip on cleaning the valve: soak it in CLR or Lime Away for a while. If you have a sonic cleaner do the soaking in it with heat and your valve will be like new in 20 minutes. Once clean, it only takes a few minutes to rebuild it with this kit. Be sure and use some plumbers faucet grease. A rebuild is much cheaper than a new valve.

My shower works again. Only problem is is that there are no directions. I put it all together and it was extremely hard to turn. Took it apart again and put petroleum jelly on the stem and packing and that fixed it.

Feel - good deal since not locate kit at your stores Home Depot/Lowes - counts were too low which meant - they did not have in stock. Ordered and glad I did. I still do not think the seat is the correct size BUT the packaging was perfect and stopped the leak I had when switching from shower to not shower. The valve stem before was wobbly but no longer. Used a YouTube presentation to help with install. Hope this helps.

Living in an old house with very hard water, I seem to go through these a lot (usually on the hot side). The last time I ordered, I got some of these Lasco's and the same Price-Pfister kit. I actually like the Lasco kit better.. mainly because the seat is noticeably smoother than the one in the Price-Pfister kit. The material the gaskets are made out of seem to be of better quality, too. They definitely seem to last quite a bit longer.
