The laser measurement tool has been a very useful and essential gadget for home projects, especially when working alone. It is easy to use, the laser is bright and bright enough to use when working outside in sunny days. The laser measurement tool provides distance and can be used to measure between corners and walls. It has memory to store several measurements and the units can be changed. It is very handy and light and can be placed on the belt for quick access.

I have a brand name laser measure that was a lot more expensive. I keep that one in my tool box and wanted another one to keep in my car. This is a nifty little measuring device to have around. It's intuitive to use. I can't speak to the battery length just yet.

This laser tape measure is chock-full of features. It can show the last few measurements on the large display, and it is accurate and consistent with in-house measurements. I love that the units can be displayed in decimal, fractional, and in both inches or feet/inches. You can specify measurements from the front or back of the unit, and it has a tilt angle on the display that smartly figures out which side you are using. The only frustration is that it defaults back to meters upon each power-on instead of holding the last unit of measurement used. Great value for the price!

This Green beam laser measurement tool is a variation of traditional laser distance meters that projects a green laser beam instead of a red one. The green laser beam is up to four times brighter than a red laser beam, making it easier to see in bright light conditions. It is a better choice for outdoor use or in well-lit rooms. Because the green beam is easier to see, you can more accurately target the point you want to measure. Green laser beams can travel longer distances than red laser, making them suitable for larger rooms or outdoor applications. If you're looking for a laser distance meter that is easy to use and reliable in a variety of lighting conditions, this green beam model is a great option. There is one complaint. The unit resets back to meters every time it’s turned off and on.This handheld laser meter comes with a soft carrying case that has a built-in belt loop, 3 AAA batteries, and a lanyard.

GoodDigital angle indicationTurbo function to increase laser brightnessBeep can be disabledRecord and review last 30 measurementsArea, volume, and similar trianglesAdd/subtract from previous measurementsComes with decent batteriesBadResets back to metersResets back to beepingShort time outRuns on 3 AAA batteriesThis is a solid laser tape measure with some useful features. As a basic tape measure, it’s accurate and easy to use. Compared to my little Bosch Blaze, the measurements were nearly identical out to 50’ (see pics). My aged Bosch gets a bit flaky beyond that. The case has some rubbery stuff molded in, so it’s easy to keep a grip on it, too. The laser is focussed and bright enough to be seen outdoors. There’s also an “outdoor” function that acts like a turbo for the laser, making the target much brighter and increasing the range. There’s also a large, bright display that makes it easy to see the last 3 measurements. But, it’s the level feature really puts this on the next, um… level. I’m not talking about the little bubble levels, I still haven’t figured out a good use for those. The level, or more precisely, angle finder, is displayed in the top, right of the screen during all measurements. This makes it much easier to avoid introducing measurement errors from not keeping the laser level. The angle finder is accurate, too - my dedicated digital angle finder and this laser tape measure were within 0.5 degrees of each other. This device can do a bunch of more advanced stuff, too - area, volume, similar triangles. It also keeps track of the last 30 measurements, which can save a lot of time having to jot things down. For me, it’s handy to quickly grab the next 4-5 measurements, then go back to the saw to cut. Those measurements can also be fed back into the device to be used in other calculations like area or volume. The one I like most is to grab the last reading and add it to the current measurement being taken. There are a few drawbacks, though. First, it’s annoying that the device resets back to meters every time it’s turned on. It’s the same thing with the beeping. Also, the laser has a short time out, just 30 seconds - frequently, this isn’t enough time for me. And, I wish it was USB instead of AAA batteries. (But at least it comes with a decent set of batteries - in an Inception-like moment, this device comes with Amazon Basic AAA batteries.)

This SG SURGOAL 196/393.7ft Green Beam Laser Measurement Tool is a nice step up from other laser colors, mostly because green laser distance meters appear to perform better outdoors in sunlight. I had started out with an orange/red laser unit but it would not read proper rated distances outside, whereas this one does. It has a low/high power setting to increase the intensity of the LED when necessary, and save battery power when not. The buttons properly register when pressed, and the case looks like it will hold up to a fall or two. There are likely much better laser measure devices for professionals which will survive everyday use, but for the homeowner and hobbyist this one will likely do just fine.

Doesn't measure the full length or fences or yards. You have to measure half way, about a 50 to 100 ft and then measure the rest of the way and add it up. But it works better than the ones with red light. Works in day light, direct sunlight. You have to aim at a tree, or something dark, doesn't work on metal fence. But for the most part it's more convenient than a measuring tape.
