This works really well, the laser is very visible and it is extremely easy to use. I am not good at leveling things and this makes it super easy -- my work was double-checked with other levels.

This laser level is something every DIYer should have. The self-leveling is great. And it comes with a tripod so you don't have to figure out how you are going to position it.The lines are very bright and highly visible on all the surfaces I have tried it on.Dould-checking the first couple times I used it verified that it is true & level.I like that it is rechargeable, so I don't have to keep wasting batteries on it. If you don't use it that often, quick charge will bring it back from the dead.I have used this so much more than I thought I would. I love it!

This laser level is a great tool for home projects that need to line up and is an order of magnitude easier to use than a chalk line. It feels sturdy and well-built, and it should last for a long time, I would imagine. It's not overly complicated to use if you have any experience with a DSLR camera as it uses the same idea for mounting to the tripod. Still, it will probably take some practice to get the most use out of it.I'm using it to line up photos on a wall and get them level on a single line. But I can envision a wide array of uses around the house, to say nothing of construction applications. It's a neat bit of tech.

I've seen lots of folks in the home DIY space using laser levels and decided to give one a try. It took quite a bit of playing with it to finally figure out how to make it work, but overall, I can't believe I didn't get one of these sooner! I hung some shelves last night and it made it such a breeze without having to mark up my walls with tons of pencil marks. This set comes with a tripod that can be set on a table or you extend the legs to make it taller. There is also a separate "shoe" for the level that has magnets in which you can stick it on something metal to hold it in place. I tried them on different surfaces, and the magnets don't seem super strong, but YMMV. You can change the settings on the level for a horizontal line, vertical line, or both lines together in a cross shape. It's rechargeable too, which is awesome, and both the tripod and the level come in their own respective carry cases. If I were to offer any suggestions for improvement, stronger magnets in the magnet shoe, and make the tripod case bigger to hold the level and it's case as well so you can store them together in one bag!

I was looking for a new laser level to help me line up some mounts on my garage ceiling and this fit the bill. I paired it with a tripod, and it was able to connect to the 1/4" screw even though the tripod is for a camera, as advertised. The laser provides a vertical and horizontal line that makes hanging pictures, etc. a breeze. I love the ability to switch between the modes to fit the application I need.It does come with a wall mount but for my use, I needed the tripod. It is a nice accessory even though I do not see myself really using the included wall mount. May be a great addition for someone that uses these more than I do. I use it for basic stuff around the house. It comes with a padded case to keep it from damage and small enough to fit in a drawer in the tool chest.

I've been an avid DIYer most of my life and have learned a few tricks for getting things level, but this laser level changes the game. It's compact enough to fit in the palm of your hand and runs on (4) AA batteries. The laser beam has three levels of brightness and you can select options for a horizontal/vertical combined pattern or horizontal/vertical single pattern. The head can be rotated to prevent dead spots as the laser can't pass through the vertical supports on the head, although it will cover 360 degrees.I selected the laser level without the tripod because I already have one, but a tripod is almost required. I was using this to hang a large mirror this past weekend and was too lazy to set up the tripod, so I used a chair with a box and some books to get enough height. Not a good idea. The switch to turn on the laser level also unlocks the delicate prism so it can stabilize. If it's not near level to begin with, the level will flash the laser (less than a second, more than a half second) until it's level. If it's too much of an angle, there is a button to unlock it so it will level. So, a tripod will definitely make your experience more enjoyable. The zippered case is a nice touch and there is also an l-shaped bracket that has a tripod screw to mount to the bottom of the laser level. There are also two strong magnets so if you don't have a tripod, you can adjust the angle of the bracket and attach the side with the magnets to a pipe or metal stud. I've already used this laser level for a bunch of house projects and love it. Everything from hanging a series of framed photos, laying out the cut lines where a new door will be installed, to hanging a large mirror. With the vertical/horizontal lines, I was able to literally pencil an "x" to drill my hole and rotate the laser to the other side, let it level and precisely mark the other hole. Absolutely perfectly level installation. It took more time to figure out all the measurements, but this laser level will elevate all your projects. It's hard buying things online when you can't see, touch, or feel them, so I hope you find this review helpful!
