Positive: The fan works well. 12 speed settings. It is very quiet at lower settings -noise level is perfect for me at #4 & it’s hard to find quiet fans at affordable prices.Negative: Arrived dirty and strongly believe it was used. Assembly Instructions are awful (one small picture). After assembly -all parts of the fan feel loose. Primarily made of cheap plastic.

We bought this one as an emergency because it was fast delivery, an older one we had died in the middle of a heat wave and we needed one fast. As I received it and I started to install it, I was sure I'm going to return, as there were some things I didn't like: 1) the expensive price compared to other brands 2) the way both the motor and the base are attached by push without screws, which may get lose and create problems in the future 3) the fact that it doesn't remember the last setting and it always starts on the highest speed (like a tornado). But then, as it was already installed and we needed it, we decided to try it and my wife told me forget about returning, and this is why: 1) This is an 18" with 5 blades and it moves huge amount of air. When it works, you really feel it. 2) It has 12 speeds and at 4 it's really quiet and still moves a lot of air. At 8 it's still pretty quiet for the amount of wind it makes and we are actually using it at this speed pretty much, and at 12 it's noisy but you'll never use this as it will push you away. So at the end of the day we are happy customers. I guess you get what you're paying for.

I expected a bit better quality. The price came to shy of 160 with taxes. My main hope is that the motor holds out longer than $30 fans which keep dying on me 2 or more times a year. The build quality of the fan and the remote certainly don't seem to justify a 5x increase in price over $30 16 inch fans. BUT if the motor lasts 3+ years, I guess it will have paid for itself at that point. I use a fan a lot in both winter and summer (always used cheap fans on the lowest setting and they still die after 6 months generally). It has 12 speeds, but every time you turn it on with the remote it likes to start on 100% hurricane mode, which is VERY annoying in the middle of the night. And at 100% it is VERY loud, so if you have someone in bed with you, they ARE waking up if you turn this fan on. If the vortex of wind doesn't wake them the noise will. The remote is just... terrible. I use this fan in bed and you cannot tell what button is where because it's all one smooth surface, and the buttons click loud when you push them, and are a tad hard to press. And no matter what you do, as mentioned, this fan start on 100% speed with the remote, which drives me nuts.I thought 12 speeds would be nice but it's just turned out to be unnecessary. 1 and 2 move so little air you may as well have it turned off.In sum: Overpriced. Cheap plastic construction. Doesn't tilt down AT ALL. Actually faces a bit upward.

The speed can be adjusted from barely audible to almost hurricane velocity. My second fan from this company and I am very pleased with their performance.

First, the fan lives up to its billing. It’s extremely energy-efficient, and moves an impressive amount of air. I’m using it primarily as cooling for Zwift, so that’s more-demanding-than-average usage. The remote is effective, if a bit rough-hewn. It’s fairly quiet at moderate-to-medium speeds, which would be how I would use it to cool a room. I’d only really use the high speeds for high-output workouts, for which I would have earphones on, and fan noise becomes irrelevant. The fan has a wide base, which adds stability… but it’s not to say that the fan is very stable, as that entire base is a single molded piece of moderately-stiff plastic. The telescoping “stem” is metal, but thin and without much overlap in-reserve at the fully-extended height, which makes it also less-than-robust. The motor housing is pretty much there for show, as you can look in through the back with a flashlight and see how compact the DC motor actually is within the cavernous housing. I guess that’s not a big demerit, as it might be that this fan shares parts with other models that require all that otherwise unused space… or that focus groups did not take well to a “less-muscular” housing that reflects the better tech. The fan shroud/cage is also plastic, but snaps together with authority, and might be more robust than you might suspect. As it stands (pun unintended), it works as-advertised, and is very light (again, largely-plastic construction), which makes it very easy to tote around. The lack of mass might allow it to survive a tip-over better than you might imagine. That said, I do wish that the stem-to-base, stem-to-head, and telescoping tubes area were made more robust.

The shields are a pile of hot harbage. More flimsy than Glad plastic wrap. Might return it soon due to a 90 dollar disappointment. If I designed this fan, I would go hiking at the Grand Canyon blindfolded.
