I have several cheap ODB2 scanners, and they work, getting me the diagnostic codes. They do not scan the ABS or SRS. I needed a scanner that could do this. This Launch ODB2 Scanner is able to do that. I was able to read and resolve an ABS issue on one of my cars and now working on diagnosing the SRS on my truck. It has led me to the suspected trouble area of the passenger seat. I only need the weather to improve, the shade tree is a little sparse.

Pretty happy with this scan tool and it's capabilities so far. It's nice to have a more capable source of information when your trying to diagnose certain issues and for sure if you have a check engine light or warning light for another system. If you don't diagnose vehicles you don't need this tool. If your a semi retired professional technician like myself this is a solid option to be able t ok work from home on your own stuff or on projects.

I bought this new obd2 tester to replace my old one. I like the fact this unit will start charging as you go it up to your vehicle. Makes it easier to use. Plus it has a charge feature to use with charging adaptor.I have used it 3 times so far and it works great.Yes I recommend this product...

I brought this unit to look on me older cars. After setting it up, connecting to my wi-fi, updating the software I plugged it in to my 2007 jeep liberty and press diagnose. It found the VIN number and showed all the error codes within seconds. Pin pointing the wheel that causing an ABS errors. And gave me a good idea of what was wrong by telling my it was an open circuit (broken wire). This unit is fast and easy to use. Great value for the money if your a DYI mechanic. Don't think twice about buying this.

This scanner works very well. I have Been A mechanic for years and have used scanners a lot. This scanner does more than the average user will ever need. I am impressed in this price range how much this will do. from engine to body codes. allows testing of individual components . I like the component locator on screen, makes it quicker to find sensors when working on a vehicles that are not familiar to you. The best part of this scanner is the free lifetime software updates. anyone that uses these professionally will tell you that software updates cost a small fortune and are constantly needed to stay up on current vehicles. I have used this scanner several times since purchasing on different manufactures and it has preformed well. set up was easy just follow along the on screen directions when you first turn it on. I like the fact that it allows you to choose what manufactures you want to load into it when updating. Overall I recommend this scanner to anyone that wants a bidirectional scanner as opposed to a simple code reader. If you take the time to learn all the features this scanner offers you will not be disappointed,

Compared with Launch crp123 and ancel fx2000 , this launch crp123x is better. The screen was nice and displayed clear. What impressed me most, was that the unit was combined the AutoVIN technology and wifi update, being the best option available in the market in terms of speed, performance, data analysis and data transfer. It immediately identified the car, and I didn’t have to enter the year, make, engine, etc. manually, which allowed me to easily read and retrieve diagnostic trouble codes, to perform a quick scan. And I was getting tired of making numerous trips to mechanics every time when the SRS light blinked and stayed on. To my satisfactory, this scan tool could reset that error light then I could end up saving time and money. And it also had the feature of updating via Wi-Fi. Then I can use its newest software in a simple way, so great. Keeping the tool up to date is important to ensure that getting the best software coverage. Overall, I was and am satisfied. :-)

I also own the Launch CreaderVII+ and upon taking this CP123X out of the box, I immediately notice how much bigger the unit is over the VII+. The unit is at least double in size. The screen is very bright and easy to read. I really like how I can see the battery life just by quickly pressing the power button. Wifi upgrades is a definite plus also. I tested two vehicles with the unit, a 2004 Nissan Titan and a 2005 Chrysler Town and Country. The 123X found the VIN numbers rather quickly. I was pleasantly surprised by the speed of the unit. Another great feature that I like about this unit is the on the go battery voltage. The user interface is easy to navigate as well. You don't have to be an electronic genius to use this unit. As far as the exterior, this unit has a very rugged casing, so it is made to withstand a short drop without affecting the unit. I also like the soft pouch used for storing the unit and cabling. It would have been nice to get an update to reset oil change lights, but this is minor. I am very impressed with this diagnostic tool and have a lot of confidence in the Launch brand. I look forward to see what is next. (This review was part of a promotion by Launch.)
