I purchased this for a Christmas gift for my nephew to put on his desk at work. I told him it would make a good conversation piece. It has been a big hit. He said people walk by all the time and turn it over to watch the sand flow. It definitely has a calming effect. I would purchase this again for other people would work in an office. I was impressed with the classy look. It's quite big 12x10 inches, so it would not be good if your desk is small. (see my attached picture) It had a good color choice to choose from. Both the ice blue and the gold choices have a classy royalty look to them. I think it was a decent price for the quality product I found it to be. Most of the sand art items are circular and this came in a rectangle shape which was another reason I purchased it. It just stood out to me as different and classy.

Love the colors. I could watch this for an amazing amount of time. There are some bubbles in the liquid and I wonder if these are part of what gets the sand moving but I’m not confident they should be there.

I purchased the blue with gold flakes as a gift. When it was delivered, I lifted the box cover to view the sand art to make sure it was in good shape. I was amazed at how beautiful it is. My husband and I took the opportunity several times to watch the sand cascade down to make beautiful mountains and landscapes. I was highly impressed. Obviously I can't speak to the longevity or other factors but I feel confident it will be a great gift. It was also well packaged.
