What is pencil roving fiber?
Pencil Roving is unspun combed top roving that has been pre-drafted to the size of a fat pencil resulting in an even, soft fiber strand. In other words, the work of drafting has already been done for you. This allows a beginning spinner to concentrate on the hand movements of spinning, get into a spinning rhythm and experience quick success with a new craft.

Wow!! The pencil roving was so incredibly beautiful and soft!! When I first touched it , it reminded me of a time I got a small amount of cashgora. Will be a pleasure to work with. The spindle was well done and I found no rough spots at all. I lost some of my skills after I had a stroke so I’m hoping this will be a great opportunity to regain some of my ability. I will probably get another set, and some the roving on its own. Thank for such a lovely kit!!

I recently purchased this spindle after taking a spinning wheel class and wanting to get started at a smaller price point. I’ve since ordered more of the same color roving to continue making more yarn, with a slightly heavier new spindle that is more to my preference. All in all, this is a great kit and I would not hesitate to order more as gifts!

I originally bought this as a set to get my daughter started with spinning her own yarn, but I'm so impressed with the quality (of both the fibers and the spindle), I'm going to be shopping for my own fibers from Living Dreams now. Thank you!!!

If you are like me and want to dip your toes into spinning before you invest in a wheel etc this is perfection. Wayyyyyy more roving than I expected! Would definitely buy again.
