I like the large eye on these. The case lid screws on, the threads are brass. I'm actually impressed with the case. The needles are stout, not sharp (that's in the description),all around good needles.

I purchase several things on Amazon and was giving pretty in-depth reviews. From this point on, here's the new agenda…. if it works as advertised, is well made, meets or exceeds the description, is a value, and arrives in a fair amount of time, it will get a "star rating" equal to what my expectations were/are. If it doesn't meet these criteria, then I will most definitely and descriptively tell the short comings of the products and you as a consumer will not have to go through the trouble of buying the product without some background knowledge. If the sell pulls that item and relists under another description, I will put the exact same review on the seller's feedback page. Sellers have done this a couple of times in the past, and I was true to my word then as well as now. DR

I have been using these needles now close to 3 months and have broken 16 out of 20 of them doing a few leathercrafts per week. They are easy to thread but easy to bend. The problem is that they are also very thick needles and like to get hung up if you are saddle stitching, unless your holes are really big. These needles are too big for fine work like wallets, better for sheaths with bigger holes. I have found that it does not take a lot of force to blow the eyelet in the needle apart, so alas I am down to 4 needles only. These last four needles have held up now a decent time, but I am babying them because I didn't want to spend $ on needles.I will be buying the USA made needles next because that is what everyone online says I should have done.for 6 dollars though I suppose these needles did their job? The case is sort of nice, I will be keeping it to throw other needles in and making a travel leatherwork set or spare tools set.If maybe half my needles broke by now I'd give 4 stars but 80% breaking this fast is a no go.

I bought these after eventually breaking a dozen or so needles over the past three years of leatherwork. So far I haven't broken any of these. They work well and are sturdy, too! Only wish they were a bit thinner since my pricing irons make small holes, but these do the track once I use an awl to make the holes a little wider.

Fabulous! Perfect size for leather hand stiching. They glide right thru my leather. The wooden case is lovely. It keeps all your needles together, no more searching for one! A great value all around!
