It is stitched to keep its form and has a handle on one end to pull and fight with your pup. Small leagth is 25 inches, Large is 27 inches, tug dimensions DO NOT include handles. Tugs are not chew toys, they are interactive training aids. Tug toys are excellent for a rewarding game of tug. Do not allow your dog to chew on the tug or keep the tug after the interaction has finished.

All of my dogs love this toy! This was perfect for our German shepherd puppies when they were teething and starting to go through their mouthy stage. The leather is soft so they can grab onto it with their baby teeth easily. I attached it to a leash and drug it around on the ground for them. It was adorable!It was also very helpful for training the puppies not to bite us. As soon as they would start getting mouthy I would grab this toy and play tug. Everyday we had “tug time” and the biting stopped in just a couple weeks.My adult Shepherd/Rottweiler mix LOVES this toy. Her face lights up when she see’s it. She bounces next to me as we make our way to the yard.I don’t recommend leaving it out. We had to buy a second one because one of the puppies chewed the handle when it was accidentally left on their crate during nap time.

This is an excellent product. We use it to see the prey drive of German Shepard puppies. It’s the first step in determining if a puppy has what it takes to go on to do protection work.

Please remember that this is a TUG toy and not a CHEW toy. Ignore everyone who says their puppy chewed it up because they let their puppy play with in a way that was not intended. It’s a great TUG TOY not a CHEW toy. If you are making your own flirt pole with a horse lunging whip it’s much to heavy for it! But at the end of a DIY PVC pipe one would be better.

Another excellent quality product from Redline K-9! This is an interactive toy to be used with your pup. My Golden puppy loves this toy and it is one of my go to toys for interactive play during his peak active crazy times of the day. It is not a chew toy, it cannot be left alone with the pup, he would chew through the handle and it would pose a safety threat. Highly recommend.

Good for mouth feel training but pretty easy to shred and destroy by problem chewers. The length is great, think the suede should have various grades to get five star. Too easily destructible (meaning number of play times under 5).

Want to begin this review with the statement that I do not write a review unless I'm very happy with both the product and the company.With that said I bought this leather bite rag on January 12th, 2016 and I requested redline k9 to expedite shipping because my Belgian Malinois puppy was in desperate need of a solid toy that I could use. Not only did I get a discount on the rag they also got it delivered to my door in what I remember was two business days - amazing. Now to the rag, my puppy is a very very high drive working Belgian Malinois that is much stronger than most puppies his age (even of the same breed). This rag has survived constant biting and tug work over the past two months and it is still in the same condition I got it in. The only difference is that it isn't as clean, but the structural integrity of the rag is still in tact without any signs of tearing. A simple cleaning and it will look brand new.Only con that isn't really a con:After a month of using the bite rag with the puppy using marker training and practicing bitework I cut off the handle because it was getting in the way of bitework and now it's even better.
