I like the idea and I'd say at this point, 85% of the time it works as expected but I don't know if my unit is defective but maybe Legrand could give guidance on what the 'optimal motion' should look like.I have it set at max sensitivity, it's supposed to react to a wave at six inches away, that seems very optimistic, that almost never happens. But most of the time if I do a quick wave about two or three inches away, it'll work reliably and worse comes to worst, if it doesn't work, I can wave again until it does.Considering I've never owned one of these before and don't know what exactly I should expect from it, I don't know if I'm waving wrong or if I have a defective switch.Especially because I've used it a few dozen times since installing it, one time, even though my hand was a good 15+ inches away, the switch turned off as if it was a false positive, that makes me suspect it isn't doing what it's supposed to be doing when waving 1/3rd the distance usually doesn't trigger it when I am trying to trigger it.Overall, I do want to like it and give it a five star review, it just isn't working as advertised for me. (I am using it in a single pole configuration, older house so green wire is connected to ground because there is no neutral present. YMMV)

I bought a bunch of Motion Sensing Light Switches to replace traditional ones in areas of high funk (water closets, etc.) and for switches that are used often and they work beautifully for most configurations. The config that doesn't work well is for three way switches w/o a neutral line where you'd have 2 of these controlling the same light. No matter what I tried, that config would only sort of work for a short period of time before they stopped working completely.Legrand, if you could make a version where the switches operated like normal (i.e. if you switch the light on/off with one, you can switch it on/off with the other and vice versa every time) for three way configs sans the neutral, that would be pretty sweet. I bet that's easier said than done though.

This is our second purchase and we are very pleased with this switch. Family loves the no touch and modern design.

Easy to install, you’re able to change the distance of detection, good color. Ive had it for a year now and it has not failed.

Kind like an overpriced occupancy sensor with time delay function removed but serves the purpose well. Together with a humidity sensor for the fan we don't have to touch any switch in the bathroom. Be aware that if the ambient light is too dim, the switch will not respond to dark gloves or clothes.
