My 20yr old furnace was letting me know this part was cracked. I called an HVAC guy that just said, it was this part and suggested that I replace my entire furnace because it was so old and he didn't know if they even carried the part. He said he'd check on the part and get back to me. Being so busy, he never got back to me. In the end, I just wanted to see if I replaced the part it would work. I ended up buying the part & watching youtube to learn how to install it. But, of course nothing goes as planned and I couldn't install it myself because I've never worked on a furnace. I ended up calling another HVAC guy and just telling him I had the part and asked if he'd come put it on. He did so in about 5min. Long story, but after the part was on, it was so quiet I had to ask the HVAC guy it it was running. He said it was. It was just surprisingly that quiet.
