It solved the problem of false alerts from a infrared motion sensor. You can't change the reset delay so once you turn it off with the switch, it won't turn back on when motion is detected until it times out. The time out isn't adjustable.

This motion detector has no minimum load requirement which is essential when powering LEDs. Conventional devices typically need 40W load. Most single LEDs are lower in watts than this so one would need to have several LEDs to trigger them. In a WR, my two LEDs were only 12W in total size. This unit works well to turn these fully off.I note that this unit also has dual sensing with infrared and ultrasound making it very sensitive. It is a great product.

Another Amazon company that sends out defective products. Not even Leviton tech support could help and recommended to return it.

Finicky setup required multiple attempts to get right, but works very well once a desired setting is achieved. Given repeat setup issue, would be improved if the wall plate didn't have to be removed in order to access its setting controls.

Works great for the most part.It ALWAYS turn on as I enter the room, never a problem with that! But sometimes it exceeds the minute or two it takes to automatically turn off.

I installed two of these in our basement to run 12 lights each (LED bulbs). They work great, are easy to install and configure. (Don't forget that there's a ground wire that must be connected...) They work on both motion and sound, so I play music when I'm down there alone and they stay lit, even though I'm sitting at my computer. Highly recommended!

It detects from behind an obstacle easily. Detection is perfect. However it does not give you so much time flexibility to say set it for 2 or five minutes: it is on for 10, 20, 30 minutes. There is an automatic mode which is good but it does not have flexibility as well. When you occupy the area for more than 2.5 minutes it will remain on for 10-30 minutes.

My wife and I decided to put one of these in our kitchen, which was probably the best decision we ever made. Now we walk in with our hands full of groceries and, guess what? Lights pop on for us! They stay on for a short time after we leave. There is a drawback, which is that if you manually turn them off, you have to wait for the normal cycle time to pass before they will auto turn back on... otherwise, if you walk back in, they will just stay off. However, we use energy efficient lights, so we just let it take care of automatically turning the lights on and off and it works great. It has an "auto" function for time and it starts to learn how quickly you leave the room. It'll detect if we're in there for a while (like cooking) and keep it on longer, or if we just walk through, it turns it off about 30 seconds after we leave. This is probably one of the absolute best home upgrades we've ever made, and probably the cheapest too.

This is absolutely the best occupancy sensor that you can get. This is my second one from Amazon. Both perform flawlessly. I use one in the garage to turn my lights on when I drive in. It has the sensitivity to turn on the lights when I get out of my car, as soon as I stand up after climbing out of the door, even when the car is between me and the sensor. The dual ultrasonic and IR sensors are probably why it is so sensitive.

My wife and I work primarily from home, and we have a detached garage converted into an office. We are typically in and out of the office throughout the day, and it's never clear when we are leaving it for the last time, due to the interrupt-driven nature of our work. I wanted a solution that would turn on the lights if we were in the office, and turn them off when we were gone, and this switch replacement does a really good job.We had to work with the settings, as it has both an infrared motion sensor and a sonic/sound sensor, and we have a rather large, loud window AC unit that would move curtains and/or trigger the sound switch on the default settings. But, they give you a lot of different ways to tweak the sensitivity of the different sensors independently, and we have found a nice balance that works 99% of the time. So, we don't even think about the office lights. They turn on when we come in in the morning, the turn off if we leave for lunch and back on when we come back, and at the end of the day they switch off when we leave, and stay off overnight. There are also manual overrides, such that we can have the lights stay on or off as desired, as well. All in all this is a great solution for our home office, and would make sense for any room where you typically wants the lights on when you're in the room, and want them off automatically when you leave.
