Leviton's comprehensive Residential Grade Receptacles portfolio includes devices rated for all residential applications in a variety of standard configurations. They are produced in an array of colors in both Decora and traditional styles. All duplex receptacles are designed with thermoplastic construction and feature a shallow build for maximum wiring room. Leviton makes good products, and as expected these live up to the name. Used these in my garage, as my older regular indoor residential outlets all had side terminals that were corroded. These outlets should hold up better over time. Would highly recommend for any area of your home that is susceptible to moisture and humidity.

Easy to install as long as you know the negative, ground, and hot lines. Also like the additional protection at that the socket to help keep water out. May be a tad more expensive than picking up a similar outlet at local hardware store.

Used to replace the big stores $.49 outlet of cheap quality that melted after 6 months. Circuit didnt even draw that much so I expecting this to hold out longer than I will be alive

I have two outdoor outlets in the patio walls. I had been wanting to replace them for a few years now. I was tired of my procrastination and finally replaced both. Both were likely house originals, likely 40+ years old. One that wasn't working was crumbling from corrosion as I unscrewed it and pulling it out.These Leviton replacements are really nice. I generally do not like tamper resistant outlets because I have to fight with them to plug anything in, generally a big nuisance. Maybe that's me and not the outlet. However, these are tamper resistant and not a problem to use, even for me. That makes me happy.Both of my outlets are now cleaned up, replaced, are functional again, and have put my mind at ease.

What is there to say about a receptacle?I guess I'll have to update my review in 10 years if it stood up to the elements.Quality seems decent, typical Leviton.The grey nicely matched the color of my outlet box.Make sure to install it on a GFCI protected circuit when installed outdoors as the receptacle itself is not a GFCI receptacle.
