Larger, yet much thinner and lighter than my 47", 16 year old Panasonic. The picture quality is excellent, but it's a little slow to start up and transition. The sound quality doesn't match the picture quality, so I bought a sound bar too and that helps.

Great bang for buck. 120hz for gaming. LGTV channel is great. Limited pip options. Magic wand remote and Alexa if you're into that.

Positives: Awesome TV. Love the picture quality and colors. Comes with tons of functionality and different modes depending on what you are using it for. I also really appreciate the remote having a Netflix button. Another outstanding quality is LG TV which came free. It has 400 or so channels that has all kinds of stuff to watch. Great buy!Negatives: Sounds quality isn't the greatest, but to be expected as what matters most is the TV quality and performance. This does not affect my rating as I'm buying a sound bar regardless.

has free streaming, ai is pretty good, remote has a pointer function, and colors are vibrant. fair warning though the legs are kinda wide so make sure you have a wide enough stand if you are using one. 120 hrtz is nice for gaming as well.edit- forgot to add that the sound on this tv is loud, i have a hard time hearing and bought a sound bar with my last tv. i dont need it for this tv.

I have a pretty nice and expensive Pioneer receiver that I use for all my HDMI switching and this is the only TV I've ever owned that had an issue with it. For example, when I switch from the Xbox to my Firestick, the TV identifies my Firestick as an Xbox on the text overlay on the screen. If I am playing the Xbox and then shut it and the tv off, then I try to turn the tv on and select the firestick on my receiver, it won't display it. It just shows me a solid black screen with a weird subtle flashing bright spot on the right edge. No amount of power cycling or switching inputs will do anything. The only thing that resolves it is to either unplug the HDMI cable and plug it back in, or unplug the TV power and plug it back in. It's such a freaking giant hassle. This is no doubt because the tv wants to rely on its own selection of HDMI inputs to identify different devices. Since it's so freaking smart it can't possibly contend with devices being switched on an AV receiver. That's just some weird edge case rare thing no one ever does.I had to get some remote controlled thing that you plug the tv's AC power cord into so I can effectively unplug it and plug it back in without moving furniture. It's so stupid. I wish I'd never bought this freaking thing. The picture quality is fine if you spend an afternoon messing with the settings to get something you like. Navigating the menus with the remote is frustrating but doable. It feels like a lot of stuff just keeps getting in my way and doing things I don't like or not doing things I would like.

Excellent picture and sound. Like it and would recommend, but be prepared. Alexa compatible and ThinQ app is easy to set up and configure. Still learning how to properly set up with features I'm looking for. The quick set up guide is very poor, and so is the getting started guide. Automatically defaults to LG channels. Online User Manual only. Needs much better and more documentation.

A Very Nice TV Set! I purchased the NEW LG 55" QNED85T Model 2024 TV from Amazon and it is a very nice TV and yet it does need some software updates. Yet, regardless of that and because of where other TVs align I would have given it a 19 out of 20 Stars and that is pretty hard to do and so I gave it 5 Stars. The model number of the TV is 55QNED85TUA and I think all of the versions except the 50" and the 98" use an IPS LCD LED EDGE-LIT Backlit panel and that the sizes of 55" and many others use an IPS LCD Quantum Dot Nanocell LCD Panel. I did ask LG themselves and they clarified thus far that it is an Edge-Lit LED Panel and yet it is an LCD panel that is an EDGE-Lit LED Quantum Dot Nanocell LCD Panel that uses either a VA or IPS otherwise it would have been a TN TFT and that is something that would be vastly obscure at this point and so it is most certain something other than a TN TFT and in that size and you would most certain want to avoid a TN TFT as the others have vastly improved their response times with better viewing angles. I wanted to specify with exact specifications and finding them has been difficult. I most certain suspect that the model I purchased which is an LG 55" QNED85T Model 2024 TV and model number: 55QNED85TUA is an IPS panel and that she is wearing her :Qdots glasses. I hope that it is an IPS panel since I wanted an IPS panel and thought it was an IPS panel and because the Refresh Rate improved over the VA panels and also the ghosting and yet whatever the actual panel type is that the :Qdots glasses aka Quantum Dot Nanocell was applied and that it in fact it does look very good! It most certain increased the color vibrancy and also the contrast and black brilliancy of the TV and even in 1080p and some other resolutions! I think that the TV does in fact do the best of both world's and that is also something that is getting much better. I mean, it does 1080p and other resolutions and frame rates very good and that is a big benefit and it is why I chose this TV set. I hope that someday the FIPS panel is #1 home choice with a #2. QNED being used at restaurants and also some other locations where a more rosey lightning is used and that #3. The Plasma reborn as a Cold and Black Plasma for artwork as being the arms and head of the TVs and the #4. TN TFTs and #5. VAs as being the legs as they often times require a Matte screen that makes them look very impressive and eye-popping at smaller sizes with extreme resolutions and refresh rates and response times. This TV does have a Brown problem and yet it can be corrected some in the "Black" and "White" Stabilization and I think those controls need to exposed globally for all of the possible TV settings. In addition, I think that the TV also should provide a Brown color control for the this LCD Panel and for the Quantum Dot Nanocell glasses that she is wearing. The good news is that those are all just features in software updates and I tried the settings in many of the different modes for the TV and so the TV as is, she is quite a JEM! It is a very nice TV set! Though, the sound is a bit on the Bass Canon and needs to have the initial treble raised in the (7.5K, 8.5K, 9.5K, 12.5K, and 15.5K) and as little as .1 DB would even be something that would help to coverup a mega bass canon effect that was created for the TV and for some to express the necessity of an external sound system versus a TV having a better sound system and the good news again is that it is something that can be fixed in a Software Update. Also, the Bass Canon effect might be further be minimized by lowering the 100Hz and 50 Hz frequencies by .1 DB and then raising 175 Hz by say .1 DB and 700 Hz by .1 DB to make the pitches even more sharp and and those are some of my suggested minimal settings that would improve the sound quality and even the provided equalizer controls for the TV set and also help it sound a bit more sharp as it is a bit flat on her initial sound reproduction. Again, those are just some software updates. I would like some extra color controls for the TV and with the 4 Color Red Green shifted spectrum exposed she appears to be a Nineatron. I would want all of those color controls for the QNED and the Quantum Dots en general! It is a nice TV and I hope that some software updates make it a much nicer TV! Anyways, those were my initial impressions of the TV set! Thank You!!
