It is pricey but it’s half of the price compared to the foreign country.

Bought this to replace an original G10 transmitter which after many years of use finally quit working (battery died). It is working flawlessly. I've tried a few of the cheaper wireless units for guitar and all have had drop outs, the Line 6 has never had a drop out issue. The original Line 6 G10 receiver had the very weak USB connection issue which was a terrible design choice and ultimately required repair, but otherwise the functionality of this unit has been rock solid.

I regret not ordering this sooner. It's absolutely fantastic. Plug it in and in a second you have your signal to the amplifier. When you're done, unplug it. It's that simple. When using it with my Yamaha THR30II, it was literally Plug and Play, it came charged at least halfway. When using the Yamaha android app to control the amp, this baby channels my inner lazy beast.Suoer convenient, great sound quality (tested with my ESP Alexi, PRS Torero and Gibson Lea Paul). Highly recommended.

If you have a wireless ready amp, it’s a great add. Sound quality is excellent with no need for a cable. The battery charges right from the input jack on the amp and I’ve used it for hours without running out of juice. Being small and lightweight, It goes with me wherever I take my THR3011 amp. I also use it in my music room so I don’t have to worry about tripping or pulling out a cable.

Do not trust this for gigs. It is extremely aggravating. It charges fully overnight. I plug it in and it plays then after a minute or so it cuts out. I remove it and plug it back in and it plays for a minute then cuts out again. Then it shows red and shuts off completely. Plug it back into the yamaha thr amp and it charges up again to full in 3 hours. Rinse and repeat. Luckily I have a backup wireless setup because these suck. More than a hundred bucks and it works right for 2 months. Good job Line6. I have cheap 30 dollar wireless systems that work flawlessly and yet you can't make a transmitter that works. I bought this to pair with a yamaha thr30ii. 2nd one I've bought. I figured the first one was just a one off. Nope!!! Total crap!!!

Cables getting in the way and preventing movement when you’re jamming out? This things is the answer. Charges quickly, allows you to move around with ease and doesn’t color your tone. I use it with my THR30ll modeling amp for practicing with headphones phones when my family is sleeping.

As a convenience, this is a great unit. Works as expected with no fiddling required. If you have one of the Line 6 amps, I don't understand people who are saying the unit isn't charged up, after they left the amp turned off while they were gone. The amp is also a charger for this unit, but you have to leave the amp turned on. How hard is that? If it were a small base station (like I have in my pedalboard for this unit) would you leave it plugged in? If it were a base station that sat on a table in your music room would you unplug it from the wall before leaving the music room? Why turn OFF the amp? That doesn't make sense. The amp isn't using much power; it's just acting as a charger. Strange logic to turn the amp off then complain you didn't have a fully charged unit when you returned.Other than that kind of stretching to criticize this unit, there's not much wrong with it. The newer version has longer life; I practice 1-2 hours (or more) a day and it's always working fine.Getting rid of what become permanent coiled messy snake-like cords on the floor is a huge improvement for me, as my studio is also my living room.I like the unit and use it daily, though I would not employ it for a live gig. Unless on a big stage, really what's the point? A cable does the job without the need for power. The base station and convenience in my studio is something I've gotten used to and when my first dongle broke (snapped right in half when I walked by and hit it sticking out of my guitar with my leg) I eventually caved and replaced it with this newer version. I don't play on big stages, not yet anyway! I would recommend NOT leaving the dongle in the guitar after using it; it will kill your active pickup battery and it will stick out, risking easy breakage!Sound quality is similar to a cable - I've not done an A/B comparison, and if I did it would be very very close. Volume is about the same as with a cable. Also, the original version of this dongle did not work with my Gibson acoustic, but this one is said to have overcome that limitation, though I have not tried. Works great with my under-saddle acoustic Enya X4 Pro and all my other guitars which have electric (passive) pickups.Once I make it to Madison Square Garden, I may have outgrown this unit; I may be using George Jetson™ artificial intelligence guitar connections by then. But still, this would work well on a big stage also!If you want to be free of cables (looks great in music videos), grab one of these. I no longer have a Line 6 amp and may never buy another, but the Line 6 wireless system is one of the best in it's class. With the simple base station they offer, this unit's convenience is worth the price of admission! If you'd like to see my living room studio, and hear me play through this unit, go here: https://rumble.com/vszbhf-mark-urso-river-song-indian-sunset.html - or search Rumble for "Urso Indian Sunset."Happy plucking friends!EDIT - I returned this G10TII. The review I left above was after owning the original G10T, which is still available. I'm using it with a G10S pedalboard base station. The previous one snapped when I bumped into it, and I thought this would be a good replacement, as it is supposed to be compatible with the G10S base station. It worked for a day or two, then only worked intermittently, and I was only three feet away from the base station. This NEVER happened with the original dongle, which I'll go back to. They improved this and broke it.

Arrived as scheduled, good price, a little challenging to get it paired to the receiver. But once paired, worked as expected.
