The device works well when the power is on, however, the device doesn’t come on with the remote after powering off. The device has to be unplugged and plugged for the remote and device to work after usage

Amazing concept and price. Great quality for the money. But only 8 volume steps with the remote is just crazy. Very strange design flaw that makes it way less adjustable than I had expected. Not thrilled but what can I expect for $20?

Well this was great for the three hours it was used. Finally got around to setting it up after ordering a while back. What a crock. Will be testing things before my return window expires from now on.

What's not to like?? Good question. I have an old reliable Panasonic plasma TV with an optical line out (no volume control) but no RCA or 3.5 jacks. When I hooked up the converter the sound quality and volume control worked Great. One problem... I would have loved it if the sound didn't turn off less than five seconds after it started transmitting. If I hit the output select button for optical again it would play again for a few seconds. I could hit the output button every few seconds and I almost had continuous sound. I request replaced the first with a second (returning both) and had exactly the same result. I used my own 5v power blocks and had multiple attachments for outputs (2 Bluetooth transmitters and a set of wired ear buds) so I tried (a) two different power sources (b) all three different audio devices (c) hookups for both the 3.5 jack and RCA outputs. I tried every possible combination to make sure the issue was not due to any of my devices at either end. The results of all tries were exactly the same. I also adjusted volume to both normal and on low... same thing. I know that some electronics have a built in breaker to disconnect the circuit on overheat. That's why I tried it with lowest possible volume to be sure it was not being overloaded. Nothing changed the way it disconnected. I'm hesitant to order a third for fear that I will get the same result. If I could have talked with someone I would have. I guess I'll have to "bite the bullet" and order a more expensive brand. Disappointed and a bit frustrated.

The only issue is a small one: The lights that identify if it's on and which source is activated are small and difficult to see. Otherwise, so far its worked perfectly.

Upgraded my TV but realised it didn't have a 3.5mm headphone jack. This completely solved my problem.
