Does what it's designed for well and makes doing a crank sensor on a 3800 series a breeze, don't hesitate, buy it now

Just what I needed for my 2000 Buick LeSabre. FYI to install the balancer the factory service manual calls for 111 ft lbs plus 76 degrees on the crank bolt. It also calls for acrank sensor relearn if you are replacing the balancer or crank sensor. Mine seems ok without the relearn. I had to make a tool to hold the ring gear.

Does exactly what it's supposed to do. I used this to pull the harmonic balancer on my 2001 Buick Park Avenue 3800 engine. The threads on the provided bolts fit the harmonic balancer perfectly. Be sure to add small extention into hole BEFORE you attach the "duck foot". I used mine with the curved side of the duck foot towards the harmonic balancer, flat side towards me and it worked great. May work the other way around too, not sure. Insert all three bolts finger tight. There will still be a little room left on the bolts and the duck foot will have some play to it but once you start tightening the center bolt the other three bolts heads will seat. Helps to have an impact to tighten harmonic balancer bolt because if you do it by hand it will start to turn on you as it tightens. And lastly, remove the passenger side inner fender plastic cover to access balancer. There's just enough room there to get it out with this tool. Entire crankshaft position sensor replacement took less than an hour. Well worth the money despite the fact that you might not need it again for a while.

Worked perfect for me. 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP. Used it twice and no bent or stripped bolts.

I am a mechanical engineer and part time mechanic. I own two lesabres and one Impala all with the 3800. Crank sensor went on the 2000 Impala the other day. I read mixed reviews, but decided to purchase. This thing is built sturdy and the bolts are specific to keep from wrecking the toning ring on the back side of the balancer. It's fool proof. I changed the sensor in less than 40 minutes. Pictures are of the 2000 Impala. Had to turn it to clear the body, but it cleared just fine.

I bought this kit specifically for my 07 Buick Lucerne with the 3800 Series 3. I had a cheap ABN kit and after 2 uses the duck foot warped and the threads ripped out. It also did not have an adapter that would fit into the crank bolt hole. I will update my review once I pulle my balancer, but the bolts seem to be correct length and thread size. The adapter seems skinny enough to fit in my crank holt hole. The duck foot itself is seriously solid. Should be a good kit - I don’t care if it comes with a cheap blow molded case or not. I just want a decent product

I finally got around to using this on my 1992 Oldsmobile 88. The bolts screwed right into the balancer. Having the long spacer to fit down into the crankshaft for the jack bolt was great. Did not have to worry about damaging the threads on the shaft. The harmonic balancer did not want to move at first but with steady pressure it soon came free. Glad I had to tool to remove the harmonic balancer, because it made the job so much easier.
