This has been a must have tool for our home this winter. In addition to the typical prodder, shovel, and brush, we've used the log tongs the most. They open wide so that you can get a really good handle on a log while you're adding it to the fire or else moving the burning log to make room or stoke the fire. The metal stand makes storage of the tools so easy and really adds a nice, organized touch to our fireplace. It was easy to assemble and really heavy-duty too.

I appreciate a good storage system and that's what comes with this set of fireplace tools. The stand has a heavy cast iron base and is quite stable, even with all the implements onboard. The whole set was easy to assemble and is relatively well made, although the ashes shovel is held together by two rivets and isn't as robust as the rest of the tools IMO. It works alright for handling hot ashes, but I hesitate to try pushing chunks of wood around with it, which the poker tool does well enough anyway. Even with a riveted shovel, this set is fully functional, looks traditional, and is a nice addition to my fireplace. I do think it is a worthwhile purchase.

I got this to replace the tools I had that took up more space and they do take up less space. They are attractive and I like the matte black look. The brush on this is not good though, it really doesn't brush much of anything and I'm pretty sure it's not going to last. Also, all the tools are all longer than I'd prefer them to be, perhaps if you have a very deep fireplace that would be helpful, but for mine they are a bit awkward to use.

This item arrived expertly and discreetly packed in a second box protecting it contents,unlike some vendors that ship in boxes displaying their contents.Although this fireplace tool set is not my style it was ordered as a gift,that will undoubtedly be appreciated by the recipient.Designed in an old world style this set is better suited for those with more of a traditional aesthetic.Each item measures true to its advertised size,constructed durably,and easy to assemble.With proper care this set will undoubtedly serve for years to come.Also it is very reasonably priced when compared to other fireplace tools on the market.As previously stated this set may not be what I would choose for my own home as I prefer mid century decor.However it will undoubtedly work well for those who appreciate this style for what it is.
