Product works for those who aren't overloading it. I do wish it was a stronger magnet, but it is what it is. I would consider this a light duty strip, able to hold light objects fine, making it good for office or classroom uses. Adhesive sticks well on a smooth cleaned surface. Nothing too special, and works as designed.

Magnetic strength is good and the adhesive has stuck very well to the different surfaces i have used this on so far. This has been an issue with other magnet material in the past where the adhesive backing was not good and would fail before the magnet did. So far that is not the case here.

This is a really useful product and does exactly what it’s supposed to do. The design is solid, and it works well, but the magnetic adhesion isn’t as strong as I’ve seen on similar products. It still holds up fine, but I do wish it had a bit more grip.Pros:- Practical and easy to use- Does the job well- Good overall qualityCons:- Magnetic strength could be betterIf you don’t need an ultra-strong hold, this is still a great option. I recommend this product!

This magnet tape does what it's meant to do, it's magnetic and it has an adhesive side for you to stick it to. The magnet isn't super strong, but it isn't super weak either, I'd imagine you could probably hold 2 pounds on a 3 inch strip. It comes "tightly" rolled so you'll have want to flatten it out with something heavy to get rid of the 'memory' of being rolled up before mounting it to a surface. The adhesive backing sticks nicely to a surface with little effort.

UPDATE: The magnetic part of the tape is fine, but this sticky side is terrible. It holds for a days or a week or two, then fails. I reduced my rating from 4 to 2. The reason I gave it two stars is because you could glue the tape to the object you want to use it on.I purchased this magnetic tape to cut small strips to place on white board markers for my refrigerator. It was easy to cut and the magnetic side adheres well to the refrigerator. I'm unsure how well the magnetic strip will stay stuck to the pen. since the tape still wants to curl up. I think it's very similar to this type of magnetic strip.

I originally got this tape to adhere to the backs of non-metal kitchen items frequently used, so I could hang them on the new magnetizes bar affixed to the stove. Unfortunately, since several items were silicone, the tape didn't stick. The tape is also thicker than expected, which made it less likely to conform to curved items, nor is it a very strong magnet. But wait, not to worry, there are plenty of other uses... this tape is perfect for hanging stuff on the fridge. First project was to cut pieces and applying it to the backs of great-granddaughter's precious artwork (that was slightly obscured by the magnets holding it in place...and I was running out of magnets). Best of all, the roll is inexpensive enough so that when it's time to make room for new artwork, cards, photos, etc., the roll is ready to do its job.

Note that there are several variations in this listing. I’m reviewing the 16.4 foot version. In the 16.4 foot version, you get a single roll of magnet tape in a 16.4 foot continuous length, and a width of 0.78 inches, and a thickness of 0.07 inches. This is a good value for a good quality, fairly sturdy, peel and stick style magnetic tape. One side is a magnet that will stick to a magnet friendly surface. The other side has an adhesive that has a peel and stick backing. You can cut this style of tape with standard household scissors. When applying it, be sure to really press the adhesive into the object you’re applying it to to be sure it sticks well. It does have some flex and give to it to make it easier to use.Note that it does come in a simple resealable plastic storage bag. I would recommend storing it in this bag or another seal-able bag or container. I have found using other brands of similar styles (not this one) of magnetic tape that when I store them in a drawer vs in a bag that the tape’s sticking power and adhesive over time dries up and if I store them in a bag I don’t have this issue.I like to use magnetic tape and dots (the 3M branded backed ones are even stronger than this tape in the adhesion) to put notepads on my fridge for organizers. You do have to be sure to put enough magnetic tape to hold the weight of the object you’re using it with. You also have to be sure the surface is magnetic and will hold the magnetic tape.Again, while I do like, use and recommend this magnetic tape for more basic, light use, I do think from previous experience and comparison that some of the 3M backed ones have a stronger adhesive than this one has.I also noticed that the magnet while moderately strong when sticking to a magnet friendly surface, wasn’t quite as strong as some magnets and magnet tapes I’ve used. It worked well, it just didn’t have as strong of a magnetic pull as some magnets do.I’d call this for lighter use meaning lighter vs heavier items. For heavier items you may need a stronger adhesive and stronger magnet than this tape has or you may have to use more rows of the tape. I also didn’t notice any weight capacity rating for it, some magnet dots and tape will tell how much weight it supports per dot or per inch of magnet tape.

At a little less than an inch wide, this magnetic tape is the perfect size to fit on the back of just about anything I want to make magnetic (within reason). It’s flexible, so it can even wrap around something that is not perfectly straight. It was easy for me to cut it to size with just a pair of scissors. The adhesive backing is decent but that also depends on what I apply it to. It sticks better to some materials (like paper) than others (some plastics/silicone). The magnetic power is only strong enough to hold up fairly lightweight objects. If the item is a little heavier, sometimes a few more magnetic strips will give it enough power to hold it up (like on the fridge). As long as I understand the physical limitations of the product, I can wisely choose which projects I use it for. The large 16.4 foot version gives me ample supply of this tape to use for lots and lots of projects!
