These flexible self-stick magnetic strips come with a 3M-branded sticky strip on one side. They ship in a plastic box that snaps shut, which is welcome and a bit unexpected. They are stronger than the average refrigerator magnet, but not "rare-earth" strong. Still good enough for many purposes, and unlike solid magnets, they can be cut to length with a sharp pair of scissors.I have a remote control for a lamp mounted to the edge of my workbench that I keep on my metal filing cabinet and thought it might be nifty if I could stick it to the front of the cabinet and just push the button without picking it up. One of these magnetic strips worked perfectly -- it adhered well, plants the control solidly to the filing cabinet (see photo), and it doesn't rock when I press the on/off/dim button.I expect to find plenty of other uses for these -- there are many, so they'll last me a long time.

Magnets are strong, adhesive tape is sticky for sure. Kind of a niche item, so while I was able to use a couple of the strips for a project, not sure what I'll do with the rest. These magnetic strips are awesome! I’ve been working on some DIY projects that required magnets, and at first, I tried using super glue and multiple small magnets. let’s just say that was a total fail. These strips were the perfect solution! Super easy to use, and they actually work. I’ve had them in place for about a month now, and there’s been no give, no droop, just solid, reliable hold. Honestly, everything 3M makes is always top-notch, so I’m not even surprised. Five stars all the way!

These magnetic strips come in handy. I have a couple of notepads on my fridge for menu planning and grocery lists. 'm finding it increasingly hard to find these note pads with a magnetic strip on them so having this package to modify so they'll stick works great. I'm also using them to hold up a desk calendar so that it can be used as a wall calendar instead. I'm sure I'll find other uses in the future too. Would recommend.

These magnets are way more heavy duty than I thought they would be. A lot thicker than what I have had before. The adhesive is very strong. The magnets are strong. Not strong enough to hold tools but should do the trick for household use and the like. I have not tried to remove them from the surface I stuck them too so I can say if they are easy to remove. They work very well.

I have used magnetic tape in the past....and the results have been "weak". These are much wider, more rigid, and the strength is obvious as soon as you access them in the handy box. I will be using these for a variety of things. Mostly to hang things (magnet to magnet) or just just stick stuff on metal surfaces as I use them. Good alternative to the crappy velcro and hanging tape....neither of which work very well i the long run.

I have an ice scoop holder I wanted to put on the fridge. Unfortunately this didn’t work. But I’m sure it’ll work for smaller things.

Ordered this for future workarounds. These strips have a good amount of magnetism. They are almost 1/8" thick but probably less once the adhesive backing protection strip is removed. I have tested the magnetism as is. I have not tried cutting the rubberized strip but I'm sure they can be easily cut with household scissors or most any kind of craft knife. This is one of those products that is good to have when you need a solution and there is no product made that offers a specific solution to your problem. If you keep it stored away from magnetic fields and electric current, it will never go bad and be there when you need it. You can't say that about glue which always seems to be dried up just when you need it.
