Kept my 20 gal aquarium cool. Ran for about a week, shut it off. Then turned it back on and made a horrendous noise and no longer produces air flow.

This fan is excellent for cooling our axolotl's tank, only drawback is the clip doesn't screw on great so it can be knocked off the tank easily if you bump into it. Also expect quick water evaporation but that seems normal for a good cooling fan.

I got the model that hangs on the side of the tank. It fits onto an aquarium with the black plastic guard around it. For my 10 gallon tank it cooled about 5 or 6 degrees Fahrenheit. Which is perfect. My house stays around 71 so that's all I need it to do. fan was quiet when i got it. But now after just a month or so it suddenly runs very loud and vibrating a lot. I'm sadly going to be looking to replace it already.

I was having an issue with my autopot tank's temperature rising. I was using a frozen water bottle to keep it in check but had to fiddle with it everyday.After picking up this fan the water is the reservoir has stayed between 67° - 72° relative to my house temp. It worked like a charm! I highly recommend this product for anyone battling rising temps.

I've used a similar product but it had a hard time keeping the temperature down for my axolotl. When the fan died, I was thinking of buying an air chiller for over 170, but decided to give this a try.It actually keeps the tank water at ~20°C, almost 3° than previous. If that's good enough for you, this may want to give this a try.One con is the hook is too narrow get around the lip of the tank that supports the cover. Not an issue for tanks with a thin or no lip. The other is the power cord is fairly short and you may need an extension for your setup. Both I worked around so not a deal breaker.

This little fan works really well! The temperature gets up to around 78 degrees downstairs where the 8 gallon tank and goldfish are and this fan cools the water down to 68 (the temp that the heater is set on). We don’t have central AC and was worried we would have to run the AC in the summer just to keep the fish cool. Very impressed and would highly recommend this product.

Got this baby because my room has no central air, just a window unit. So the Texas summer heat is a real killer for my tank. We had rolling blackouts this past summer and our power was out for 12 hours in the heat. I had to manually make oxygen for my betta and I was really worried about the temperature rising. It got to 82 overnight! ( I keep it at 78) ordered this baby that night and got it at 6am the next day. Few hours later power came back on. I was really worried about my betta burning up so I immediately hooked this up on my tank and within the hour it put it back to 78! Fast working and compact. Only downside is that it is a little noisy but that didn't bother me since I have a fan on me 365. If you can't do noise as loud as small table fan don't get it but again, it only took an hour to get the temperature back down so it was no big deal for me. Also it is inconvenient that it has to hang over the tank(I get it that's how it works) but my hood for my tank had to be off a little to fit the fan on. So if you don't have a hole in your hood for the fan it is a little inconvenient for me since my cat likes to sit on the hood because it's warm. But luckily no cat falling in my tank. Those are my only two downsides. If you want something affordable and works fast then this the product for you!

Overall a solid fan. The blue light on the power supply is insanely bright, I had to cover it so it wasn't lighting up my room at night. Fan can also get a little noisy. Good for it's price point, but I'm sure there are better.
