Stopped working after 6 months of use in a 3-gallon freshwater tank for 1 betta fish. Suction cups never worked. Heater was maintaining set water temperature of 78F up until 5 months of use and then steadily stopped working. I continually had to increase temperature over the last month on the dial to maintain 78F until the heater stopped working altogether. You get what you pay for, cheap product that did not last long at all.

I live in Georgia, so we don’t get a lot of freezing weather. This winter has been a challenge though, and I didn’t have time to bring the waterers in every night and put them out again in the morning to keep them thawed. I didn’t want to spend a ton of money on getting something specific to chicken waterers because they are over $35, someone suggested an aquarium heater and this has worked perfectly! For only $7, it keeps the water thawed and I can leave it out in 20 degree weather with no problems. Perfect for the south!

This has been quite accurate, and absolutely no fuss for months now. I’m using it in a small 2.5 gallon tank that sometimes serves as a nursery, and I love the simplicity. I know it’s been accurate because when I’m moving fish, I check both with and instant read thermometer to make sure there won’t be shock.

I like how small this was & it worked fine for a month. I kept the temp at 75 But i came home one day & the temp in my fish tank was 95 degrees. Thankfully no fish died . I turned the temp knob all the way down, slowly lowered the water temp in my tank & then adjusted the knob depending on the temp water. A week later the same thing happened, water at 95 degrees so i unplugged the heater & bought a new one. Im unsure if the knob is loose so changes on its own or what the malfunction was.EDIT: just wanted to add customer service reached out & issued a refund as well as wanted more info so they could fix the issue. That as nice. I did really like this heater. I just didnt want to risk boiling my fish to figure out exactly when/why the heater wasnt working properly.

Company sent replacement for free, has worked flawlessly. The first was likely a fluke. Their customer service was excellent, they reached out to me to make it right, not amazon or me reaching out. Thank you for honorable business practices.

I like the tiny footprint. It takes up very little space in my tank. But it's hard to get just the right temp, between the setting on the cord and the sticker thermometer it's way off when checked with an external probe. Which is kinda scary when a 4-5 degree temp change can effect the health of my fish. The 78.6 degrees is from the middle of the tank. While the sticker temp is only an inch or two from where the heater is attached.
