I ordered these needles and was really happy with them but found that one of the cords was broken when I went to use it so got a replacement but my replacement has a needle that seems to be stripped and doesn’t screw onto the cords properly. Would love to exchange again as this was not an issue with my last set but Amazon won’t allow.

I love the pouch n the cables are perfect! The small issue is the paint chips off soooo easily. It would have been easier to just leave the paint off.The major issue is they disconnect so easily that after every row I have to check to make sure they were fully staying on. They disconnected mid row too many times. I did fix it myself by putting a lil bit of plastic or a tiny bit off a rubber band to secure them more

This is a nice set that was affordable. Everything worked well and the color has not come off. The connection stays and doesn’t unwind as you work. I haven’t had a single problem and I’m pleased with this purchase.

I'm an avid knitter of nearly 2 decades and I must say this is a great set. The needles do have a tendency to unscrew every so often and catch the yarn, but other than that I've used them for several projects and you couldn't ask for a better set at this amazing price.

This set has sharp crisp points. Ideal for stich pick up! I couldn't disagree more that the joints on them catch on yarn. Mine do no such thing. They stay tight if properly tightened. The point protectors work even if all you want to do is change cables mid stride. I am no beginner, I have had many needles since I was 7 years old. These actually work. Knit Denise needles are made in America, and I tried them. For me China is much better. They don't break in 10 stitches! The work is smooth and butiful. I am hard of vision so the red paint makes seeing much easier.

I’m incredibly disappointed in these needles. I’ve had fewer frustrations with a very cheap set of bamboo needles than with this set. I will be returning these and saving up for something better.First of all, the needles already had wear on the tips of several sizes when they arrived. All I can figure is that I’m not the first to be returning this exact set.The transition from the main portion of the needle to the tip is very sudden, so they don’t glide smoothly against each other while stitching. You can see the harshness of the transition in my photos of the obviously worn tips. This makes for a less than pleasant knitting experience. The join between the cord and the metal piece is also harsh and catches on the yarn as you slide the stitches across. This is really frustrating, especially when it actually snags and damages the yarn.Several of the needles cannot screw all the way into place, leaving a gap that’s the perfect size to catch stitches in. My finer weight yarn got so well caught there that I had to remove the needle from the cord to free my yarn, as I couldn’t get a hold of the yarn to pull it free. The needles that do screw fully into place don’t stay secure. As you work, they come loose. Thankfully, getting stitches caught in the gap created is generally enough of a problem to catch it before the needles fully disconnect and cause you to lose stitches, but it’s still frustrating to deal with. The cord is very stiff. I work with the magic loop method quite a lot, but can’t do that with these cords because they aren’t flexible enough to work with.As a lifelong crocheter, I’d assumed that I could buy mid-range tools and be fine for quite a while before being forced to upgrade, since that was true for crochet hooks. However, this doesn’t seem to be true with knitting. If you want budget friendly, stick with fixed circulars. For interchangeable needles, quality truly matters and you very much get what you pay for.I wanted so much to love these needles, but I just can’t. They led to far too much frustration and no actual progress on projects, so I’m back to my cheap bamboo for the time being.

I never have to worry about the cable breaking in the middle of a project again!!!!!!! The set is great, except for the stoppers. They do not stay on because they are stripped, before I even used them. Other than that the set is perfect and DEFINITELY worth the money!!!

I'm a beginning knitter, but longtime crocheter. These are great beginning needles for people who are not sure whether they want to make the $100+ commitment to a name brand set, but want to see how aluminum needles feel in the hand. I didn't have any issue with the needles - I could easily attach and tighten the connectors, and was able to start knitting right away. They feel good in the hand and the colors are vibrant. The needle material reminds me of aluminum crochet hooks, so they would be familiar to crocheters. There are no burrs or other imperfections on the needles. I think this is a good value for beginning knitters, or as a gift for someone who wants to learn.
