I bought this for a Xbox controller my brother gave me that was missing its controller back/battery holder. This fits great and works perfectly. I was very happy to get it as these are not easily obtainable locally and when found they are expensive given what they are. This one worked as expected and at a great price. Highly recommend.

I don't understand the reviews that whine about this item being flimsy and cheap. The fact of the matter is, it's plastic, its holds 2 AA batteries and its clips in, AND STAYS IN. I know, some wise guy says it won't hold ip to throwing your controller across the room....REALLY! For the price, it works great....I have NO complaints. If you want something you can hurl around the room, look somewhere else...you won't find it for 3 bucks.

Great product for sure. Cheap and good. Fits great in the controller without any problems, and is actually really good quality plastic, thinker than the original material I'd say. The spots for the batteries can be a little big for some batteries, so they fit in loose, but still works perfect.

Fits and works, but mine isn't exactly fully white. It has black scuff marks on the back and sides that won't come off. I've tried to clean it, to no avail. I don't know what it is, but it's disappointing.

I ordered this product since my official one from Microsoft would have difficulty reading the batteries. The batteries would be in good condition yet could never detect them. It got to the point where I was using tape to hold it against the controller while I played, however this would barely help. So I ordered this in hopes it would be a decent replacement, if only temporarily. I ordered a New one from Costbuy for only 1 cent. No, I'm serious. They had it for 1 cent. I paid nearly $3 for just the shipping. Thankfully this wasn't out of my pocket but from a gift card, so it didn't matter to me if it worked or not. Good news though, it works, and it's much better than the official one.First thing to note was when I received it it was in one of those tiny ziploc style bags inside a stuffed folder to keep it protected. And thus began to attempt to pull it out without trying to destroy the thing. I managed to do so and inspected the new cover. Already I could tell the material wasn't a cheap style plastic like the official 360 one from Microsoft. It felt more dense, almost like it would survive a fall from a few feet. Obviously I wasn't going to tempt fate with that, so don't try it!I put my batteries in and found they go in with a bit of resistance. The battery openings, specifically one of them, are a bit tight, which is kind of a problem when removing them, however it keeps them from moving while playing, which is perfect for those long gaming sessions. This is the main reason why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5. I would of given it a 5 if the batteries were slightly easier to remove. Like I mentioned, it's mainly 1 of the slots that I have trouble with. I'm actually a bit worried about removing the batteries sometimes since I don't want this to just break, so I try to take it out as carefully as I can.Now comes the most important test/part: The gaming test. I tried this with 3 different genres: an RPG (Star Ocean IV), a Fighting game (Injustice), and an Action game (Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance). For Star Ocean IV I didn't play too much of, but when I did I had no issues. Pretty common though since it's not a button input heavy game. Injustice was the first game I tried this with, and while I managed to go through Story mode in a single sitting in just a few hours, I also had no problems with the controller at all. And lastly, Metal Gear Rising Revengeance. I tend to move around a bit when playing this game as it's a bit of a tic for me in Action style games, just to keep myself a bit focused. Again, no issues. This product was exceptional and I would recommend trying to get it if you need it, with a bit of warning on the battery removal. I can see where people might have issues with these types of products, so it's possible I just got lucky. Still though, give it a shot, and return it/request a new one if possible if you have any issues.

After reading the reviews on this product i was excited to use my batteries in it and start saving money. I popped the batteries in and voila!... it didn't work, I tested all three battery covers I purchased and none of them worked. I used four different AA batteries, put them in correctly, also incorrectly to make sure the picture showing which direction they go in wasn't wrong, nothing worked. I finally took my batteries and put them in one of my old xbox controller covers and it worked right off the bat! Since they weren't working and I was going to throw them out anyways, I decided to cut out as much of the thin wall as I could which divides the two batteries from each other inside the cover, after I did this it started working. So I did this to the other 2 I ordered and now my batteries work in those as well! To add to it they do fit a little bit looser now which is a good thing because it was scraping the outside of the batteries off before. They do work well now so I give this product 4 stars for working well but only 2 for the fact that it didnt work at all at first and I had to experiment to get it to work. Maybe I just got unlucky and received 3 bad covers but the experimenting proved successful.. so now I am pleased!

Ok so the point of these, to me at least, was to be able to use standard rechargeable batteries in it and to be able to have an extra set of them charged so I could swap them out whenever the batteries ran out.The problem is that these were not designed with the extra thickness of rechargeable batteries in mind. So the ribs inside of the case can scrape off the cover on rechargeable batteries. This can (and did in my case) cause a short in the batteries. Now this didn't happen in my case, but it's possible that this could cause a fire or at least destroy your controller if the batteries explode and leak acid.If you use these with rechargeable batteries I would HIGLY suggest that you use a grinding wheel to open them up a little bit so that the cover on the batteries does not get worn off!Or you could just use normal batteries.. but that sort of defeats the purpose.
