The braided steel cable provides strong cut resistance and its protective coating prevents scratching. It performs like it should, it locks your bike to something to make it harder to steal. Yea. One added feature is the small clamp that goes on your bike frame and holds the lock in position and out of the way of your legs. I THINK I like that feature too.

The bike locks are very study and easy to use. Two came in the pack, so we had one for each bike. You can easily create your own code, and the cord is long enough to connect to racks & objects that are not super close.

My 10 year old son uses this almost everyday since he takes his bike to school. It is super easy to use and very thick. We can’t complain specially for the price we pay for.
