These are great heat set inserts. You will need a soldering iron or an iron made to set these inserts in. These really help with 3D printed projects if you want to add fasteners. They are really strong once they are in. If your hole size is correct and these inserts are in properly the connection is fantastic. They are also easy to reclaim if you need them back. If you have a print that breaks you can heat the plastic around the insert and pull them out with a long screw.

Easy to install with a hot soldering iron. I was able to use a standard chisel tip to get them done, though a specialized tip would certainly make it easier for larger jobs.
