I bought these to anchor a trellis to cinder block wall. They work great with the anchors I had on hand and they have stayed secure to this point. Will buy again to do the rest of my yard.

Used two of these to run 96 ft of stainless braided wire for string lights. As others have said, this is a metric size. 7/16 hammer drill bit with a little extra reaming (don't overdo), worked out great. Put them in a concrete header and they snugged up great. Did not have any issues with the threaded bolt sticking too far into the ring. Since it came with 5 and only needed two, used the nuts from two other ones on the bolt inside the ring as an over abundance of caution in case the bolt threads failed. But given strength of these, this was likely overkill.

These are exactly as described. They have a decent hold in the morter between bricks, go in easy with a few hammer taps and tightening properly.

I used a Dewalt DW5234 7/16" Carbide hammer drill bit and drilled three inches into a concrete wall, then tapped it with a hammer for a firm fit. If you use a larger drill bit you will have to glue the fastener into the concrete prior to tightening the bolt as it will just spin in the drilled hole.Excellent product...no complaints!!

Although the bolts seem to be well made, there is a design flaw that made these very difficult to properly install. This is a three part bolt which includes the removable loop, the threaded stud with a flared end, and then a sleeve that covers the stud, so that when tightened the end of this sleeve flares out against the hole surface. The problem we encountered with installing them is that the sleeve is too short. As you tighten the anchor into the hole, the threaded stud protrudes out of the hole further and further. In order for the anchor to work you first drill a hole, there are no instructions with the anchor so you have to experiment to get the correct size drill bit to begin with. So then the stud must be inserted into the hole, and the hole needs to be fairly snug. In order to get both the sleeve and the stud into the correct position in the hole you must tighten down the nut against the sleeve to hold it in place. You then tap the anchor into the hole and begin to tighten in order to expand the sleeve. Then one of two things happen, either that nut get buried in the hole, which requires you to then add a second nut for the looped end to tighten against, or otherwise the threaded studded end sticks out of the hole too far to tighten the looped end against the masonry surface. Very frustrating.
