Of the 4 turnbuckles I received, three of them would not operate. One of the ends could not be turned, even in a vise with tools. I was able to rearrange them and use the one end to adjust to the length I needed, but these were terrible quality and not usable as turnbuckles. I do not recommend.

These are expertly engineering, smooth turning, my husband and I use them for our clothesline, having the turnbuckle at its loosest, turning it tighter and tighter as the rope wears down with use or age. Plus, these are great for outdoors as they do not corrode. Durable, they work well, smooth turning, and weather resistant-- these should be in everyone's household!

I'll start with my question. I copied and pasted what it said on the description of these items. It said, "You Will Get: The 6 pieces black of stainless steel turnbuckle are packaged in a beautiful transparent plastic box, making it easier for you to find, use, and store them." I realize that the title and pictures show four items, but they need to make sure the items are accurately described. Now, on to the M8 Turnbuckle, 4 Pcs Turnbuckle Hook, 304 Black Stainless Steel. They are well made and finished, offering smooth surfaces, free of any burrs. The black paint is a nice touch. They are rated to hold 400 lbs. and I have no doubt that they will do so. I'll never know as my application is far less than 400 lbs., but it is great to know that they would hold that amount. They twist easily, allowing for tightening without any difficulty. I'm very pleased and I heartily recommend them!

I have bought a couple of different turnbuckles for sun shade installation that have been gritty, hard to turn, and didn't hold up well under duress. We have a couple of shades hung with these turnbuckles and they have been wonderful. The construction is smooth and clean so you don't get a lot of difficulty tightening them. Under some pretty substantial winds (40-50mph gusts) these turnbuckles have done the job in holding everything together. We will be getting a few more when we add a few more sun shades to the back yard in the summer.

Finally!! REAL heavy duty pretty much Rust Proof functional turnbuckles!!! Outstanding quality and the Threads are cut well. They turn like they should and hold their position well. I can't recommend them high enough it TEXT to convey just how good these are and how HAPPY I am to have them. I'm definitely going to be buying more of these.

The last set of turnbuckles I had were terrible quality. If you can't turn them or need tools to turn them because the threads aren't right, it's a nightmare. These work easily. None of them had any problems turning so I'll be able to adjust tension any time I need to. They feel pretty heavy duty. I'm using them on a pretty large sunshade that always seems to need minor adjustments to keep it taut. These should make that a much easier task.

Nice heavy turnbuckles. These will go on the sail shade. They are solid, heavy items. Will hold the 1/4 steel wire easily.

In the online photo it shows two turnbuckles with loops at both ends, and two with hooks on both ends. I wanted all four to have one loop and one hook so that I could use the hook ends to grab the shade sail.These have a good black coating (it looks like paint) and the size is just right for what I need them for.
