Easy to use to create a cover for any size tank. Strong enough my cats have gone on it and it hasn't fallen in.

I got this because I have an odd sized aquarium that the readily available glass covers don't fit. I got this because it was inexpensive and can be cut to size. The first problem I encountered was there were no written instructions packaged with it or anywhere on the internet that I could find. All I found was the video on the Amazon page but it is very fast paced and makes the assembly look deceptively easy. From what I can tell, you use the magnet strip with the adhesive to stick to the rim of the aquarium, then you put the magnet with the grooves on top of that, then you have to jam the netting between the grooves of the magnet and that plastic strip. That was the part that was harder than it looked. It does not create a strong connection with the netting between those two things. I'm lucky if it doesn't come apart when I lift up one corner to feed the fish. Getting it to fit around the filter and heater in the back is also not fun. I managed to do it, but I'm sure there was a better way and that's another area where instructions would have been helpful. Getting the cover off to do water changes is a miserable experience because of the poor attachment method for the net. You will likely have to reassemble half of it again. I do like the look of it once it is in place on top of the aquarium. The only way I would give it more than two stars would be if I never had to remove it from my aquarium once it was on.

This comes with an ample amount t of material to create a nice lid for your pet's habitat (plus, extra for cutting a new cover when the time comes). The included magnets work just as expected.The net is made of mesh so the air circulates well and things like warming lights will penetrate easily. The usefulness of such an item is evident immediately upon installation. Priced well and works prefectly.

I have a fish tank with an open top. I have had this tank and a cat for over 5 years and have had no issues until recently the cat decided he likes to play in water. I don’t even think he is going after the fish. He just likes dumping water everywhere.So I ordered this protective net cover. It comes with a magnetic strips to attach to the tank and a bar to press the net into it. There are corner pieces to use to lift the mesh.It is slightly time consuming and tedious to get this on well. You definitely want to properly measure and make sure everything is clean and flat to place it right. I like how it can be cut to size for what I needed. Once it is on there - it stays very well and works to keep my cat out. The mesh allows light to still come in.Overall, I think this was a good solution to my problem. The set came with no instructions and I had to find a video to actually learn how to attach this properly.
