I find that I am using magnets around the shop for different projects so when I saw this, I wanted to grab one. Overall, I am pleased with this magnetic grabber and will be using it around the shop and yard. It works pretty well and as you can see from the final photo its powerful enough to hold while I lift the tabletop saw - the heavy end but not the whole saw. It will pick up quite a bit of weight, but I wouldn't go around trying to lift super heavy things because that isn't going to happen. I could see several workplace situations where this would come in handy as well including for team lifting of larger metal sheets. Its designed so that when you put it on the surface the magnet sticks, to remove the gripper you need to pull the trigger which pulls back the magnet and it lets go. As long as you understand when and where this will work and use it correctly, I think that you will be happy with how well this grabber works.

I didn't know I needed this thing but now I wish I had it years ago. It's a very strong magnet with a handle so you can easily pick up and carry heavy metal items. Even if the metal item isn't heavy, it can be difficult to carry large or awkwardly shaped items. This pickup tool makes those items s breeze to pickup and carry. What is even better is that this tool has a little lever that acts as a magnet-release. The lever quickly and easily pulls the magnet away from the metal.Everyone that carries and sort of metal items needs one of these.

This review is for Magnetic Pickup Tool, Stainless Steel Lifting Magnet Sweeper, for Welding, Metal Separation, Laser Cutting, Micro-Adjustable.This magnet pickup tool is easy to use, just squeezing the trigger to activate the magnet. It hold on to metal items very well, but just make sure the whole magnet head has a flat area to fully attach to. It really has no grip strength if only part of the head is making contact. It works great for metal sheets but wouldn't for metals rods.

For lifting sheet metal and plate steel. The video in the description showed two magnets lifting 66 kg, which would be 33 kg each, or about 70 lbs. I didn't quite get that but the difference isn't worth a star off. What loses its star is the lack of a shield between the magnet and the face of the tool. If inadvertently passing the magnetic pickup across a pile of cut pieces, turnings, or filings they get stuck to the magnet and are crazy hard to remove from the Nd magnet face. Once filings get between the magnet and the tool housing it's game over and the magnet binds. This could have been solved with a thin aluminum shield on the face of the tool. If I had it over to do, I'd rubber band a sheet of thick fabric (like denim) over the tool face to prevent inadvertent damage.Price is ok for the tool but should have thought about the shop environment better.

This is a very powerful magnet. I was able to lift my 55 pound anvil and it held firmly. I used it to pick up loose bolts and some tools. I covered it with a plastic bag and used it to pick up some steel shavings from my lathe. When I released the magnet I was able to turn the bag inside out and contain the shavings in the bag to put in the trash. The quality of the material and finish are very good and it is a nice shop accessory. The price is good considering the quality. There are other cheaper magnetic pick up tools out there but their quality is much lower. I would order this again.
