Nice product, works well, but heat DOES NOT regulate. It is either full heat no matter where you place the dial, or switch it off for no heat, no in between calibration

Item did not work out of Box! The magnetic stir does not work, When turned on and up it simply buzzes no movement at all. The heater appears to to turn on and begin warming, I did not test any further since the magnetic stir was faulty.

Bought this because of the superior motor. The fact that it’s the least expensive and has a temperature probe, nonmetal stand and a 1” stirrer is simply amazing. Anyone looking for a 1 liter heated stirrer is making a mistake not buying this unit due to its superior motor and accessories. (I’m not connected to the company it’s just been a long time since I’ve seen value in a product. The motor doesn’t have brushes to wear out. The motor in the similar unit I had wore out and broke when stirring a simple syrup mixture. The mixture was a little viscous, sugar dissolved in water. The motor on that unit had fingers of copper sliding on the motor armature. Totally worthless type of motor. Copper fingers sliding on a copper segmented armature of a motor is what is put in children’s toys. In a toy application the toy isn’t meant to last years. I had no idea the motor was so cheap. Unless the stirrer plate says how the motor is made it’s a safe bet it made cheaply, like a toy. This heated stirrer plate on the other hand is no toy. This unit has no motor brushes so is much more robust and durable. Temperature probe supplied works well. The rod that fits in the bracket in the back is made from what looks like PEEK. A very strong nonmetal, or rusty, material. PEEK is very chemical resistant material. Don’t know for sure it’s PEEK but it looks like it to me. The motor does have a noticeable electronic hum which is typical of brushless motors. Rather have a little hum than a silent toy cheap motor that wears out quickly and isn’t repairable. I’d buy this again but likely it will last longer than I do. Where it is made is not listed anywhere which is the only negative. I like to know what country I’m supporting with my hard earned money.Amazon can easily fix this by having where products are made on every single product description page. If I can order something and have it show up at my house in less than 24 hours it shows Amazon has the skills but not the desire to address this issue. Bad Amazon just bad.Anyway good product with good quality, nicely done manufacturer!

We bought this for a young science lover who wanted something to do real experiments. The hot plate gets plenty hot to reach temperature.

I started making my own yogurt recently and bought this so I don't have to constantly monitor and stir the milk. I make a gallon at a time, which is way more liquid than this is intended to handle. It takes about 3 hours to get it hot enough at its maximum heat setting. But it's impressive that this little guy can run full throttle for 3 straight hours, and a gallon of milk is not easy to heat up without burning, but this still makes it work. I've probably run this guy for 20 hours by now and it's still going strong. The thermometer work great as well and is pretty accurate. I don't personally use the stand, and I ended up buying a larger stir bar since I use a large container. FYI, the magnets can't handheld a stir bar larger than 60mm, but that's probably larger than most people's needs anyways. The retriever works well too, although if you leave your container on the plate, you'll have to fight against the stirrer magnets a bit. I only wish there was some sort of readout to tell me the rpm of the stirrer, since it slows down a lot when it's fighting against a load. I don't need it for my purposes, but it would be nice.

This was broken on opening because the stirrer was not actually mounted in place. My husband had to add screws to make sure it stayed attached! Also the screw that keeps the magnetic stirrer attached to the rotor was not tightened so that fell off too. Once we fixed those issues it worked fine, but good grief do they need some quality control...and better construction!
