I have a regular Magswitch feather board and it has always worked excellent. I wanted another because I want to be able to put pressure on wood from more than one spot when I run it through my table saw and I opted for the Pro because I had a friend give me the top down accessories for it. I was skeptical to pay an extra 20.00 for the pro model vs the regular but I did it and WOW. Definitely worth it. It works just like the original (which is already expensive) but worked so well but the Pro allows an expansion pack that allows top down pressure too and it is now something I can't imagine working without. Don't get me wrong, if you don't need the expansion, save a few bucks with the original one as they work basically the same, but both are well worth the money.

Very happy with this product. It was priced a bit lower than I had seen it other places. Performed as expected.

Nice strong magnet. Much better than messing with clamps and a home made feather board. Glad I bought it.

I was a little apprehensive to order this featherboard on the suspicion it wouldn't hold as good as a traditional miter-slot featherboard like the JessEm Paralign featherboards. Boy, was I wrong! I almost lost a finger just playing with this near my cast iron table saw bed... Be careful, these are powerful dual-magnets and, once locked down, they really can't be budged. It's great to have the versatility to place this anywhere on the tablesaw (let's face it, you always need to use a featherboard in situations where they aren't near a miter slot). I won't hesitate to order other Magswitch products in the future.

I purchased both this Pro Model and the smaller Universal Model at the same time. I have what is equivalent to a ShopSmith ... except the table is cast iron rather than aluminum ... so its a small table. The compactness of the Universal Model makes it normally my go to feather board on account of my table's smallness. And its just generally easier to use (lighter and physically smaller). While the magnets on the Universal are not as powerful at those on the Pro, I find that they are very adequate and I have had absolutely no problems with them holding as needed. The height of the Pro feathers are a little greater than those of the Universal. This fact is actually a positive both ways. It makes using the Universal with a Gripper push block easy ... because it doesn't get in the way due to having tall feathers ... the feathers generally aren't too tall for the Gripper to pass over. However, the Pro works well when a board is pushed thru on its side. In that case the extra magnet strength and the taller feathers can be a benefit. And when using the gripper on a board in this position there generally isn't a problem with the Pro getting in the way of the gripper. So I go with the Pro for this kind of situation and it works well.I'm glad to have both boards and recommend both. However if I could only have one then I would have to go with this smaller Universal board (primarily on account of the smallness of my table). In general both are better than any other boards I've ever used. The Pro would work very well for large table saws. And the extra magnet strength would surely be welcomed too in that case.

Fussing with track-mounted featherboards on router tables, table-saws, and band-saws is a pain. This magnetic hold-down works with a single twist of the knob, and I haven't found a position, even straddling a T-slot, where it fails to hold well. Totally worth it.

I have found that this featherboard is good for placing anywhere you want it, quick and easy without adjustments and need for clamp down in the t-slot on whichever tool I use it (given an cast iron or steel table top of course). However I found that it does slip slightly, so I pair these up (I use this one paired with the two sided version( to correct for the slippage. I find that two of these do not slip at all and work very well. So overall I guess I would recommend this if you are looking for a convenient to place featherboard, but be prepared to pay for another in order to compensate for the slip.
