Our heavy-duty hay bags for horses were specifically designed with dual sided access to make it easier to feed multiple horses, goats or livestock simultaneously. This helps reduce the competitive nature between animals, provides improved food availability if you’re feeding herds, and ensures they eat the food more evenly inside the entire bag.

The access can provide more balanced eating by allowing for a slower feeding process that mimics natural grazing patterns, which is essential for preventing common digestive issues such as colic or ulcers due to fast-paced or overeating. This also benefits the hay net itself by more evenly distributing the natural wear and tear process, so you can get the most life of the bag and better support your animals.

Improved Mounting Support

The hanging strap along the bottom of our hay bag provides a multitude of benefits that are good for your horses as well as the bag itself. The heavy-duty strap provides additional security and keeps it from “flinging around” when the animals use their natural instincts to graze and feed.

The quick setup and secure installation allow you to hang it in many different areas if you’re limited on placement, or if you want to minimize wear on the ground area. Added safety is also important as it can reduce risk of entanglement with a horse’s legs, head, or tail during feeding, and can reduce the risk of a full bag falling and causing an injury to smaller animals like goats or sheep.

Our hay bags are made with a heavy-duty 20 oz. canvas that’s stronger and more resilient than standard hay bags. More importantly, the reinforced stitching and thicker material can withstand the tearing and chewing horses do when they’re pulling and tugging at the hay. The canvas is more water and UV resistant and won’t break down easily due to rain or other inclement weather conditions, so you can make it a part of your animals’ daily feeding and get the most value out of each one.

We’ve also fitted each hay bag with premium zippers to prevent horses from eating out of the top of the bag to maintain your slow-feed efforts. Moreover, the design eliminates the risk of entanglement seen in other hay bags when horses make such attempts, which adds to the safety of our design. All of this is in an effort to better support farmers, livestock managers, and the animals.
