Go from a grooved 1/4" driver to a smooth shank for drill bits or other tools used with an adjustable drill chuck. I use an M18 Impact driver and didn't want to buy another tool to use my hub scrubber for brake jobs. It works well, fits tight and connects with ease. I couldn't find anything else that could replace a tool. That is value!Don't just take my word for it. This adapter allowed me to use the sanding disc included with 3M's headlight restoration kit (39008) with my impact driver. It worked flawlessly!

Great adaptors. No longer have to buy the expensive hex shank bits. it does have to be very tight to drill in metal, but I mostly use these for wood.

The tool was not what I thought it was. Probably good for what it does, just not what I thought is was. Did not return it because of the time it would take and the expense to return it. Decided to keep it for that reason. Will look closer next time.
