I tried two other manufacturers and had no luck. Malibu has worked out great. Easy to install and program. Don’t cut corners here. Buy Malibu who has done this a long time 👍

DON'T BUY THE THIS! It powers the lights fine but is defective on auto-starting. Doesn't matter if it is photocell or timer, neither will start on time given or when the sun sets. I have to go out there to manually start the lights. Even the reset button is loosey-goosey with no functionality. Lights will go off at the time desired/set, thankfully. Amazon won't take a return, it's too late, making the manufacturer's 12-month warranty useless.

Very powerful unit, it is pretty heavy. High quality powder coated finish. Easy to install and use. Should be able to power many LED type lights.

I needed a 300 Watt transformer because it needs to power both my front and back yard with a lot of lights.For the wattage, the unit is very compact. In previous homes, my yard light transformers were much larger.Mounting it on the masonry was very easy, although the mounting screws that it came with looked a little small for the weight of the unit.Once installed, you only needed to turn a dial to set it which is fantastic. The dial has options of having the lights on all night, on for six hours after dusk or on for four hours after dusk. It is basically a set and forget system. You can also pre-program specific on and off times, but I didn't spend any time working with that feature.The only shortcoming of the unit is that the electrical plug is only about two feet long, so you need to be close to your outlet. Other than that minor issue, the unit is great.

Just installed the 300 Watt transformer. It took a while to figure out the settings. The instructions were a bit simplistic and when they said the mode will light up indicating my choice, which was dusk to dawn auto, it was impossible to read the tiny LCD readout of the mode selected in daylight. I used a flashlight and discovered the LCD I was looking for. Once set, it appears to be working like I wanted. The waterproof issue has not been tested yet, but rain storms are coming. I'm using it to serve 13 LED's in my front landscape with about 80 watts total. Maybe overkill with 300 watts.

I like the functions that it offers. This was my second one, so I was familiar with it.It is actually better than my first one. Instead of having the reset button on the back - whichis hard to get to once it is installed - it is now on the front.Quality is great.

If there is a power outage it loose the settings, it has to be reprogram.
