This is a must have tool for any backyard mechanic. Puts out lots of smoke using baby oil. Found my leak and was able to fix myself.

When it arrived it was pretty small and thought it was going to be a piece of junk, but it actually works pretty good. It heats up pretty quick to start producing the smoke. I'd recommend it.

Easy to assemble. and works great.Considered making my own. There are plenty of You tube videos showing you how and for a DIY'er that might be up your alley. But, considering a solid built device for repeat use would run roughly $40 for parts, and then the time jacking around with it and going back a time or two to get a forgotten part, I opted for spending a bit more to get something I can set aside and have it ready to use next time. They should have included a how to manual, which I didn't get, but the seller was quick to answer the one question I had. That was how much input pressure can the small gas regulator used to supply 1/2 PSI take? The answer is 100 PSI or less.It is designed to hook up to a shop or portable compressor, that has a female quick disconnect fitting on the end of the hose. Be sure you have that or can convert something to provide that female quick disconnect. So, I wouldn't use it with these small plastic 12 volt air pumps. They can over pressurize the valve creating problems. Use a compressor with an adjustment for how much air pressure goes into the line.But those things are just common sense things and is not a detriment to the machine itself. Again, well designed, attractive and easy to operate once hooked up correctly. Time to find my leak took 5 minutes crawling under the vehicle. Parts are on order.

Simple and easy to set up. I used baby oil witha bit of h2O and it makes more smoke than I thought it would. Got confirmation that I had no vacuum leak on the ls engine so on to another reason for high idle.
