I've been using this poly strapping kit for shipping heavy-duty cardboard boxes by air, and it's been a game-changer. The strapping is super resistant, making it safer and easier to handle than traditional metal options for this purpose. One standout feature is that a small device included in the kit eliminates the need for additional tools to tighten the tape, which simplifies the packing process tremendously. It is certainly possible to use this banding system at home on heavy boxes needing reinforcement for storage, but I am uncertain if this will work well in the US shipping system. I thought the item that held the straps tight was flush with the box, but they are raised plastic. I don't think I would put a heavy box through the system without using heavy duty plastic packing tape on top of the plastic strap locks. It seems that all kinds of things can catch on them in the process of moving long distances with a lot of other boxes. Maybe this will be fine, but I have yet to test it. In any event, I am glad to have access to some type of home strapping system because the tools that make the commercial ones work are very specialized and expensive, not something your average homeowner would want to invest a lot of money in.The other issue with this set is that it comes with no instructions whatsoever. One has to return to the ad for the product on amazon to watch a video in order to figure out how the strap locks work. If I don't use the strapping system that often, I will always have to return to the video to refresh my memory. At least a printed card could be placed in the box directing the user where to go to find the video. I could see a family member finding this set and having no clue how to use it, nor having any idea of where to go to find out. Still glad to give this a try and to have it in my storage box of shipping supplies.

I got this after seeing a package from Japan that used it, previously I had only ever seen the glued type of banding. This system connects exactly like the one from Japan and makes a secure strap. The one issue is that blue straps were not as easy to use as the thinner and more supple ones on the first package. These ones tend to not want to bend as easily and it's harder to get them through the fasteners, especially if you want to double them back. There were no instructions included in the package, you better know what you're doing going into it. Hopefully my picture helps figure out how to use them, basically they come up through the middle, wrap around the bar and then come out on the bottom.

I thought I could make these sliding clips work. I can upholster cars, fix industrial radiators, build things, and sew. I should be able to make these sliding clips g fasteners work. Nope. Followed the instructions on the listing carefully. Nope.

Got this to tie flattened boxes together to make them easier to get downstairs and into the trash. It helps for that purpose. Anything to make life easier.
