These are nice nylon cleats. They have a metal piece underneath that makes them snap into place when open and stay open, which is nice. The nylon seems pretty rugged, though not as heavy duty as metal. But a very nice set for a smaller boat. Especially nice because they are way less of a tripping hazard when not in use and folded down. Come with screws and also nuts and bolts, so easy to attach whatever your configuration.

Not enough height to get a dock or anchor line under. Unless your using a string, don’t buy

These are perfect for use on my molded kayaks. I put one on the bow and one on the stern so I can tie up. I really like that they pop down and don’t leave any snag surface. They look like metal, but they are really plastic and in this case that’s OK with me. They’re lighter and since I’m in brackish water, the fact that they’re plastic means that they won’t corrode. It’s a good price and a good product and that makes it a good value. It does exactly what I want, and it was pretty easy to install.Five stars

We needed a way to corral and hold a line on a lift for a rowing shell, both in the boathouse and at the dock.Enter these. Two each (two lifting lines; these get taken down and moved from either the boathouse or the dock to the other location) in both places.Up, they're big enough to securely fasten our 1/4 inch line in a proper Herreshoff hitch. Down, they're a smooth bump which won't catch you or clothing.Just the thing for our application!

It is easy to install onto my kayak with the screws. So far it is holding up well, the plastic seems well built and durable. When flipping the cleat up it is a little stiff but you wont have to worry about it getting bumped into the down position. The cleat stays in the upright position nicely.

These are better for a small boat or kayak at only 5 inches. The snap up function works well with a bit of metal to help stabilize everything. The fold down function is great for making these low profile when not in use. The quality is good for the price point so we are satisfied with these.

Perfect size, doesn’t get in the way and great for mooring boats or tying off anything.

UPDATE- 10/24/24 After the seller read my review, they offered me a full refund on the cleats. I wanted any potential buyers to know this. As I said, the cleats are smaller than I anticipated, but they DID NOT mislead me or give any false information. I wish more companies I purchase from took this stance on consumer product satisfaction. I am NOT returning the cleats, since they are fine for what they are. I will be sure to look at this company in the future for other products. The product seems to be well-built, but it is small. I have them on my dock for convenience cleats in the event another boat wants to tie up in an unused portion of the area. They are only suitable for temporary use in my opinion. Anything more than a 3/8" line will only make one loop around the cleat. I am not sure anything more than a 1/2 line will fit around the cleat at all. However, I knew they were small when I purchased them, as I only intended to use them as temporary mooring and I am in a very protected waterway area. If you plan to keep a boat tied to your dock with these, buy a different cleat.
