I got this last summer to help take care of the yard. It works, but before I could get finished with the yard, the battery would die. I think the next one I buy will be gas operated.

This weedeater is the best! Lightweight, easy, seriously easy assembly, self feeding, battery lasting one I have ever used and it such a reasonably low cost I was sure it wouldn't be all that great. But man was I wrong.

Only thing so far I don't like is that the spool doesn't advance forward. The 20 volt is what I have. . battery life is pretty good. It definitely is light weight. Simple to put together. As for the cutting.... It does a fair enough job for smaller weeds , or less dense areas. I imagine that has more to do with it being a 20 volt vs a 40. I think I would recommend the 40 v if you have any substancial weed wacking. The battery charges fairly quick. For it's capabilities and it's price point. It's good. ( Fyi can only use theax lander trimmer spools to refill )

Pros: Super light; quite; powerful; easy to switch to edger;Cons: Assembly instructions aren’t great. It’s all easy to assemble except the protector/guide for edging. I finally figured it out by looking at pictures online-the directions still make no sense. Only one battery and you have to buy a different brand for a spare or replacement. It is heavier and takes longer to charge.

The string wont feed. it cuts short then I have to remove the spool cap every time to get more string. Contacted seller. Their explanation was that they blamed the factory for spooling the string wrong. Their solution was for the customer to restring it. I have 12 spools that I bought from them. I tried to restring. I have no idea if I am doing it correctly. I do know that it still doesnt work properly after restringing. I contacted them again asking why wouldnt they send me properly wound strings? Or at worst, tell me how to do it. They ignored that request completely. I contacted them again. This time their solution is that they will get new strings in March and I am welcome to purchase the strings from them at that time. What? Why dont you send me 12 spools at that time free of charge since you already admitted that the original string is not spooled correctly? Customer Service is worse than the product, which I didnt think was possible.
