MaxTool UNC and UNF uncoated high speed steel 3-piece hand thread tap sets, which include taper, plug, and bottom chamfers, have straight flutes and round shanks with square driver. They are used to create right hand threads in a range of materials. It is available in two different ANSI standards: UNC (Unified Coarse) and UNF (Unified Fine). The premium high speed steel material provides long tool life. The straight flutes are suitable for threading through holes and blind or bottoming holes.
This uncoated taps can be used on a broad range of materials. The round shank with square driver makes the taps suitable for hand or power-driven applications.

Was just what I needed to do the job. Used this m14x2.0 tap on some drilled out hub mounting bolts . I was able to make it through the remnants of 6 10.9 steel bolts with one tap.

I'm using these on magnesium and so far, so good. Nice and sharp and don't gum up like when tapping aluminum. I have not used these on anything but magnesium yet, but am happy.

They worked. I stripped a nut on my Jeep and had to tap it. Doubt I'll ever use them again but hey I have them.

These taps work great. I only used the bottom tap for my application but those are usually the ones that give the most trouble. They provided high quality threads all the way down. I used on a CNC machine and obtained threads to about 3mm from the bottom of a blind hole. I will buy this brand of tap again with out hesitation. I also purchased M8 x 1.25 and got the same excellent results.

I bought the three pack having to retap some very rusty and dirty threaded car body holes for the suspension. One did the job and looks just as sharp as when I started.
