When in contact with wound exudate, it forms a fluid/gel environment over the wound bed. Dressing does not break down or leave residue in the wound. Thin and film back versions feature a smooth, tapered design to help minimize friction and prevent dressing edges from rolling up. Thin Hydrocolloid is semi-transparent, allowing visualization of the wound. Contains a semi-transparent layer that permits wound evaluation without removing dressing. Moisture-resistant backing helps prevent urine, feces or moisture from penetrating the dressing to reduce risk of contamination.

As far as hydrocolloid bandages go, these are great and do their job. I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 5 because they are marketed as thin, but they are not thin at all. If you want these for blemishes or nose patches, you will not be able to see through them at all and you won't get the satisfaction of seeing them working. Being as thick as they are, they don't conform to the shape of your face as well and either peel off or pull your skin into weird shapes. I thought they weren't working and pulled one off early, only to realize they are completely opaque from the outside, but are in fact doing their jobs. I have purchased .3mm and .5mm from other companies, but McKessen didn't list its actual thickness. I would guess 1mm at least.TL;DRThese are fantastic bandages, but if you are buying them *specifically because they say THIN*, then don't!

I found this to stick well on clean, bare acne spots. The color is light and it does has a smooth texture unlike duoderm. However, it’s wayyyyy too thick to wear out in public bc it’s VERY noticeable. The thickness also makes it challenging for smaller pieces to stick to areas of curvature (like on your nose).

This product is great when used with transparent adhesive dressing. It can be cut to size and when used with transparent adhesive dressing is waterproof and stays on till you take it off. Not painful to remove.
