I won't lick envelopes anymore , government bioweapons labs all over the place , it's madness , lunatics abound . These are nice , good quality . Cannot make out what's inside , safe for checks etc . .

Not much you can say about an envelope other than it's american-made, and you can tell by the weight that it's better made than the crap from China. Definitely would buy again.

I've had these Mead envelopes before, had run out of. I mostly use them to mail checks. The security feature on them is fine, as is the adhesion (though I always add glue stick at the ends....to most any envelope, actually). What I haven't loved about these envelopes is that they're so thin and flimsy. I'd use them for other things if they were heavier, & would love them to be a bit heavier, period. I looked all over Amazon, though, and can't find any in this size, with press & seal, that are a nice weight (Jam paper doesn't seem to make, alas). I love good paper/good cardstock/good envelopes!

I bought the 63/4 55 size and the #10 45 boxes. They came quickly, self sealing with a good security feature. Paper prices are high these days but I've looked around and the price I paid with free delivery (prime) is very satisfactory. I love the pull off self seal feature. Cannot tell you how many paper cuts I've had trying to wet the glue to seal envelopes. (I was a licker and my tongue is now much healthier)
