The fit on this shirt through the torso is quite nice., but on me (6'2") the sleeves are almost 6 inches too short in XL. The fabric is heavy through the torso and sheer on the arms and quite soft throughout. The buttons seem to be pretty good quality as well with a bit of design. If you're taller, maybe skip this but otherwise a great shirt for a Victorian cosplay.

Wanted a shirt for an indie vampire film and this does the job! It honestly looks great and is of a good quality where you would be able to wear it now and again for theater troupes, films, cosplay, dungeons and dragons, whatever you want. It fits really nicely too. I was impressed.

This is a great men's shirt with attention to detail, such as the ornate buttons, neat stitching, and well proportioned ruffles. The sleeves are very sheer and delicate, but the torso is less so. There were a couple of black smudges on the neck area ruffle that I'm not sure will come out, which was disappointing. Nonetheless, the shirt will still be worn and hopefully those spots won't be noticeable. It looks very cool when worn with a colonial style vest and waistcoat. It fits true to size, and is comfortable to wear.

Used as clothes for Halloween costume. It totally fit the character I dressed up as. Good quality, very comfortable and gave my costume a very flattering accent the way the ruffled shirt sleeves extended from the costume jacket sleeves. My only complaint will be that the Interior of the material was very hard to clean.

Even though this shirt fits a little snug, the stretchy fabric helps. I got this to go with a costume and I love how the ruffles work with my outfit. It’s well constructed and I love the look.

I wear a lot of styles of stage clothes and costumes in one of my music bands, and this will be added to the collection.Lightweight, but well-made Victorian-style "poet/pirate/wandering minstrel" shirt. With the proper coat, you could look like Jimi Hendrix as well. The ruffles on the front, collar, and cuffs are nice, and hold their shape well.The buttons are more of a silver with a black pattern in them, so they are shinier than the photos. It actually makes the garment look more "vintage."The sleeves are kind of gauzy, so if you like, wear a dark long-sleeve T-shirt underneath. I find the design makes it cooler to wear, and I drum onstage, so that's a plus. I opted for the black, which makes the gauzy sleeves less obvious. If you wear a coat over the shirt, the sleeves make you cooler also.ORDER ONE SIZE UP. I normally take a Large in shirts and coats which fit my 41" chest. The XL was perfect.TIP: Keep the top 2 or 3 buttons undone, and the rest buttoned, and slip it over your head, buttoning up the top buttons afterward. This makes it make faster and easier to take on and off, and it's less wear and tear on the buttons and buttonholes.
