This is a simple kilt, not meant to be fancy, but looks nice for dressing a part, or, in my case, for hiking. I sometimes hike in just a lightweight wrap, but this will be more acceptable on busy trails, as somehow it's OK for a man to wear a skirt if it looks Scottish.It is made from middle weight fabric - has no label for fabric type or country of origin, which I thought was required. The ad states 90% polyester and 10% acrylic, which I thought was the same thing, but what do I know. Anyway, should be low maintenance and dry fairly well. However, it is long enough and heavy enough not to blow around in the wind, which is a good thing.Closures include a plastic belt with dual buckles, and a velcro release to let it go over the hips more easily,. I ordered medium, to fit 32" true waist, not regular jean waist, as directed (5'10", 175 lb) and it fits fine. I thought it was hard to get over my not so small hips until I noticed the velcro, so maybe that is the reason for some sizing complaints.So if you see someone hiking in one of these, might be me. A skirt is definitely cooler than pants or even shorts. And certain private operations are easier. I don't understand why women hikers don't use them much. Oh, well, there it is. Should be a good product for hiking or dress up events. Not sold as super high quality and is priced accordingly, so I did not mark it down for that.

This is a great kilt for anyone wanting to try em out but after 1 wash, the belts on both sides split. All 3 of them, so that leads me to believe they could have been made better or better materials used.

The sizing on this is *way* off. Like 6" in the waist off. I would go two sizes up. The kilt itself is not a bad polyester kilt, but definitely way too small.

this is a very nice kilt. the fabric is high quality, and the straps are adjustable, meaning you can let it out or take it in (to a point). i ordered this as a medium (i have a 33" waist in men's pants, typically, and a 38" at the high point where this kilt is meant to sit, and it's still a bit large for me, even on the tightest straps hole. it doesn't slide off, and will probably stay in place a bit better with a shirt tucked into it.

Okay so I am kidding, kind of!it's a little short, and small.size up one or TWO sizes, that is the first bit of advise, thenwear it lower than you think you should, just a inch or two, because if you have a little bit of a rear end then you are getting a something that hits kinda higher above the knee than it should be.But it's comfortable and the color looks good, and once it is on it dons well so just size up quite a bit and you'll be much happier with your purchase

This is made of nice material but it's not true to size. I order a size larger than normal and it is still too small. If you're ordering go up a couple of sizes to get one that fits.

I bought this as I am Scot-Irish and love to embrace my heritage and this one is identical to a kilt I already had that is to large for me now that I have lost a bunch of weight. This one is well made from quality fabric like my other one and fits and looks great!
