All the pictures show that is should come with two lock washers as well as the nut. It only came with the nut, and I was planning on taking my boat out this weekend but not I got to wait until I get another one of these. I wouldn't buy this if you don't want to loose your $200+ propeller

Installed on a 2013 Mercury 60hp 4-stroke. I used both retaining washers so that it folded flat on nut. Also it was sold as a 2-pack so I have an extra set.
