I've needed a good rake for ages. I had one that had an adjustable width thing - that broke after the first month or so but I kept using that dumb rake for years. And it was a pain in the rear because the width of the tines would change just pulling it across the ground. Now I have a big girl rake and it is such a relief. The handle is long and sturdy and the tines aren't going anywhere - they are sturdy too and get the job done. I wouldn't leave this rake out side like I did with my gimpy aluminum one but it is about time I learned how to take better care of my garden tools anyway.

I purchased the CALCHELE Metal Garden Rake since the rake I had broke and this is a really nice quality rake!. I was pleased with the quality of the rake at how strong it is and works great grabbing the leaves. It is sturdy and well-made and the adjustable handle makes it easy to use. The rake is great for clearing leaves and other debris from my yard and I would definitely recommend this rake to anyone looking for a quality garden tool. It's nice and wide and easy to manipulate around and under the bushes. Game changer for me and I am happy with this purchase.

Easy to assemble.Easy to use,Handles well, works just right.Adjustable - assemble with fewer segments if you wish.BEAUTIFUL! It looks as if it were hand-wrought metal. I’m sure it’s not that, but it’s a lovely look. I feel like I have a custom made garden rake.

It took the vendor 11 days to actually ship out the product after it was ordered. This arrived from the vendor in a sturdy cardboard box. The rack itself, the connecting poles, the hardware, all were in their own plastic bags to keep them separated & easy to locate. They included a small wrench & screwdriver, and the “parts” bag was thoughtfully flagged with a yellow zip tie. This was easy to put together. They included extra bolts & nuts — those are likely to fall out one day, so nice they give you a replacement set.If you use all the extensions it goes way up over six feet — so for most folks, there is an extra extension included (as we took one out & stored it with the extra bolt & nut).Works great, is very sturdy.I’d order it again.

The description says 6 ft long but that's just the handle, with the rake head it's more like 7 ft. Because this rake has threaded sections, you can make it multiple lengths. See the picture of it next to a typical leaf rake. The stainless steel handle extensions are well made, just the right gauge of steel so it's strong but not heavy. The rake head is well-constructed of steel with a thick powder-coated finish, is very well done. The sections have indented threads, which don't look like much, but thread together very securely, there is virtually no chance of them unscrewing unless you want them to. The blue spacers serve two functions, they keep your hands away from the seems so you don't get cut, and they help support the stainless tube at the connections. I didn't find them to get in the way. I went out and raked vigorously in our lawn to see how it felt and how durable it was. I was able to pull a lot of thatch out of my lawn with this rake it's very tough. The super long handle and light weight makes it perfect for reaching far into planting beds. For leaves, I'll pull out my huge plastic-head rake. But, for anything that requires a little more oomph, or for the planted areas, or for dethatching, I'll be reaching for this rake. Finally, I was concerned that a smooth stainless tube would be slippery to hold, but it wasn't for me. However, if your hands were wet or sweaty that might be a different story, you might have to wear gloves. I am surprised at how much I like this rake, it's now in our garage with our other tools waiting to be used.

I appreciate the available lengths you can adjust the rake to. It's nice to have an additional rake on hand, but if I could do it over again, I would get one of the larger plastic rakes. I thought the 18" width would be sufficient, and it may be for your case, but I have hundreds of trees surrounding my property, so I need something larger in order to be more efficient in the fall season. This is a good backup rake to keep on hand, and since it's metal in construction, I don't see why it won't last for many years/seasons as long as you take care of it.
