It works okay on some spice but not on others. It is hard to clean out. If the spice has the diameters same or smaller than the holes, it doesn't work very well. In the pictures, you can see when the spices have same diameter as the holes below, it stuck there. One other thing to worry is it is in black color paint. We worry that the grinding with some hard spices will strip the paint and we may be eating the paint.

Compact and works well. I wanted a bit of a finer grind than I was getting, I tried turning it upside down and that seemed to work. The grinder is well made. The top rotates easily to grind the herbs and is held on magnetically. The magnet is strong enough to do the job but not too strong to make it difficult to turn. This is a good little grinder.

I’m giving this 3 stars because it does grind herb, but there are a number of ways they missed the mark.Pros:It grinds herb to what I’ll call a medium-coarse consistency. A bit finer than, say, a Santa Cruz Shredder.Comes with a large center section with a kief screen and “windows”. I’m not exactly the intent with this section, so I took it out and only use it as a 3 piece grinder.Cons:Bits of flower get stuck between the teeth and against the inner walls of the grinding chamber. I have to poke them free and repeat until everything is ground. Not a very strong magnet, so you have to kinda hold the lid closed as you’re twisting.Overall, it’s an okay grinder, but there are many other options that perform much better at the same price.

I have paid upwards of 90 bucks for a LOT less, this has a massive pollen catcher, the build quality is excellent, it’s easy to use, functions as it should, the size is medium I would say, I have a chonker 3” herb grinder and this isn’t small but it’s not too big either, color is as expected and it’s aluminum, can’t say anything about the stickiness which is suggested, but it’s an herb grinder so hopefully your herb is sufficiently sticky on its own!I was not expecting a miracle or premium quality so actually taking this out and inspecting it and using it, I will say this punches above it’s price point for usefulness. The only thing I can think of in a negative light to cast on it, is the logo doesn’t really match the uh, theme? And I am not 100% sure the window is glass (it’s probably acrylic honestly). But honestly… I’m not going to knock a star off for those things because again, most people interested in a herb grinder have paid a lot more for a lot less! And even my 90$ USD grinder doesn’t have a little window for pollen.

Metal Herb Grinder Shredder with Knurled Top for Strong Grip - Super Strong Magnetic Lid - Easy to Carry - Non-Slip Base - Versatile Herb Shredding for Culinary Use (Black)The item I received is not the item described on the site. I received a 4-piece grinder. I am using mine to grind cannabis flower. The top section, where the flower goes, is not very deep but gets the job done. The magnetic closer is nice as the threads on the other pieces are standard for aluminum, not butter smooth. The second stage is appropriate for this size grinder. The kief storage was obviously not well thought out. First it is enormous. I don’t know what the windows are for or what they planned on someone doing with that giant chamber. It would have been much better to use that space and the windows for the ground flower, not what falls through the screen. Especially when compared to the space allocated for the ground flower. The lid at the bottom has a short lip, if you unscrewed the bottom with the chamber half full of kief, you would spill it everywhere. This stage can be removed, and it can be used as a 3-piece grinder as well.As a 4-piece grinder, this missed the mark.

This is really well made. We have an herb garden and dry our own rosemary, sage, thyme, and mint, but sometimes we have more than we know what to do with! So I just used this on some dried herbs and it's incredibly sturdy. The top is magnetic and has enough pull to keep it from popping off when grinding, and there's a fine mesh underneath the grinder to keep large bits from falling into the container area. The container itself isn't something I use, since we keep each herb in a separate container for longer term storage, but it does look different from the photos (the one we got has an acrylic liner and gaps in the black metal so you can see how much you have left in the storage compartment). The one thing I wish is that the fine mesh came off the top of the storage compartment (you have to open that from the bottom) if you wanted to catch the herbs in a bigger receptacle, since it can be a bit messy to open the grinder back up and have them spill out, but it's not a huge deal. I just opened it over a bowl and transferred it to a different container. Maybe there is a way to remove that mesh, but I couldn't figure it out. Overall, though, it's still really sturdy.
