I received this MICROJIG GRR-RIPPER PRO in January 2025. The item I received matched the Amazon product page pictures and description. There were no manufacturing defects or issues I could see upon initial visual inspection and after I completed assembly. The Grr-ripper is made of a very high quality material that by just holding it you can tell it is very solid and will last a very long time and could take a beating. It is not made of cheap plastic that will crack or break apart. I can tell it will probably last my lifetime which is very rare to see in products built nowadays.The included instruction manual is very well written and has good annotated illustrations. The instruction manual also notes that there is an assembly video and the link to that is included in the manual. Although the manual is very well written, I found the assembly video much easier to follow. The assembly video is also very well done and very easy to follow. All the parts fit together perfectly and precisely which speaks to how well each part is manufactured. In addition I didn't need to spend time sanding smooth any rough edges since all edges were already smooth which also speaks to how well it is manufactured. I can't even remember the last time a tool I assembled went together so precisely and easily. There were even some spare washers and O-rings included which is another sign of how well thought out the product package is.The instruction manual notes that if you are working with stock longer than 16" it is recommended to use (2) Grr-rippers so that you can "leap frog" them as you are moving the stock through the cutting blade. The Microjig company has a lot of videos on its YouTube page that goes over how to not only assemble the Grr-ripper but also how to use it in different scenarios. I would definitely recommend looking through those videos even before purchasing so you can see what all the Grr-ripper can do.The gripping surfaces work extremely well. When using the Grr-ripper I was able to maintain a very solid hold on wood stock while pushing it through my table saw. I felt very confident I had solid control of the wood stock through its entire length and I also felt very safe while using the Grr-ripper.Considering how much one emergency room visit can cost or just to go get a few stitches the Grr-ripper pays for itself if it prevents just one accident in my opinion. I have seen other products mimicking the Grr-ripper and after seeing how well designed and manufactured this original Grr-ripper is I definitely think it is worth getting and don't waste your time or money with anything else. I am VERY happy with this Grr-ripper and would definitely recommend it.

Okay, folks, I've been woodworking for a good while now, and I've used my share of push blocks. Some were okay, some were downright scary. But this MICROJIG GRR-RIPPER PRO? This thing is on another level. I was a little hesitant at first, thinking, "Another push block, what's the big deal?" Boy, was I wrong. From the moment I took it out of the box, I could tell this was a quality piece of kit. It's solid, well-made, and feels great in my hand. But the real magic happens when you start using it. The 3D force system is absolutely brilliant. It gives you so much control over the workpiece, whether I'm ripping a thin strip or running a piece through my router table. I feel so much safer and more confident, knowing I have a solid grip and that the wood isn't going anywhere it shouldn't. The SafeRip kit that comes with it is a fantastic bonus too. It makes those super-thin cuts a breeze, and I don't have that nagging worry about my fingers getting too close to the blade. Seriously, this thing has upped my woodworking game significantly. My cuts are cleaner, more precise, and I'm just generally more relaxed while I'm working. If you're serious about woodworking and you value safety and precision (and who doesn't?), then you absolutely need this push block. It's worth every penny. Five stars, no question. I'm telling you, you won't regret it. I'm actually looking forward to more projects now, just so I can use this thing!

This is a really awesome addition to any wood shop!!First of all it took me some time to get it all assembled. I do not have much down time in the wood shop. I finally put it together at home one evening. The instructions are top of the line. Over the top. They even have a fold out part that shows the parts list while you work. I have never seen this before. No flipping back and forth through the pages. A+++ for the detailed instructions.Assembly went well. Another huge bonus on this thing. They include little O rings to hold every adjustable screw in place which first helps in assembly. And second helps when adjusting the tool later. I love this feature!!This tool is so versatile in the wood shop. Finally I can work on smaller parts with the shaper and router table without major kickbacks. I can now approach my huge beast of a shaper without fear or worry for my fingers or knuckles. Router table work just took on a whole new level with the things this allows me to use it for now.And on the table saw. I went with a less versatile table saw after a bad kickback on an old Craftsman left my arm badly cut and bruised. with this tool I can bring out the old Craftsman once more and not worry about being hurt. Plus this allows me to cut thinner pieces safely which I could not do before. This opens up more possibilities with the table saw.I have seen things like this on videos but I never realized how great it can be. I will be recommending this to everyone.
